i hate when apps know that i’m screenshotting something. when i screenshot something, that’s me acting outside your realm of understanding, app. i am beyond what you consider the observable universe. you’re not supposed to perceive me. we don’t know when god screenshots the earth. we don’t know when he’s like, “okay i’m just gonna take a pic in case i ever want to add dinosaurs back to something later and don’t remember how.” and if we did, we wouldn’t act all smug about it like, “hey, you wanna share that post? you could just click here to share it.” no, man. you didn’t catch me. i screenshotted this for my own reasons. what’s next? i can’t take a photo of my computer screen with my phone out of laziness without being shamed by the printer i don’t own?

This is a perfect time to read the brilliant and unforgettable graphic novel(s) Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, about growing up in Iran during and after the Iranian Revolution, and the rise of the oppressive theocracy that persists to this day.
Both graphic novels are available free online (Persepolis vol. 1, Persepolis vol. 2)
It also was adapted to a wonderful film (co-directed and co-written by the author) which is available to watch for free on Sundance Now (sign up for the free trial)
I'm just going to say it - body hair (and beauty standards in general) is truly one of the final frontiers of women's issues in the West. Too many women just love their gilded cage too much. It shocks me how virulently women will defend it. I barely open my mouth and the "well I like how it feels. it just makes me feel cleaner. sensory issues. I do it for me. feminism is about choosing (to conform)." brigade come rushing in by the dozens.
Well I don't like how it feels. I don't feel cleaner without body hair. I don't prefer not having body hair. But who will advocate for women like me, but me? For women who do like hair removal, they are advocated for every time they step out of the house and see 99% of the female population also conforming to that standard, or when they watch a movie and see all the shaved actresses, or view an advertisment, or open a magazine, or watch a music video, or scroll through social media, or walk down the streets without receiving insults and glares for having a completely normal bodily feature.
You genuinely can't even point out that hairlessness is a man-made standard without women losing their shit and acting like they are totally immune to propaganda they've been exposed to from birth. I'm so tired.
my mom crocheted a lil geode for me and it RULES, so now you have to see
listen i consider myself an empathic person but after a certain point i get sick of other people’s problems. my friend is always talking about how the jewel-eyed skull on their mantlepiece is tormenting them w its sinister beauty and im over it. like dude i don’t want to talk about this anymore. get rid of the fucking skull
you’ are biased against my skull
i’m not having this argument again man
can we get 36 hours a day? not for any productive purposes i just want to finish my to watch & to read list in this lifetime . also probably get enough sleep
My African Wizard Robes are finished :) (with the amazing help of my partner @13mo who assisted with the ribbon trim <3) Its made out of hand dyed indigo panels, the front middle six being patterned by a batik wax resist process. The decor is made out of clay, shells, seed beads and abalone buttons all hand sewn on! I can't wait to get started on the staff and maybe... a hat

Also, regardless of your feelings on human nature or anything, I think that a world where children can go to school without fearing being bombed from an ocean away is a world worth aspiring to and worth fighting for. Okay we might never abolish war because the inherent human nature or whatever mighty idealism you have. We could at least try to stop these wars, though?
Again. Everybody get more anti war right now.
could you draw gandalf big naturals..
yes anonymous i will do this for you
A few years ago I drew stickers for dolly parton’s theme park and apparently they got pulled from the park because people kept defacing the rides with them 😭😭😭😭
Can we see the stickers?
I don’t actually have copies of them?? Since I’ve never actually gone and got one from the characters. And I don’t think I’m allowed to post the actual illustrations. But I was able to find a few pics from some influencer accounts.
The blue butterfly fairy also has a sticker, and so does the bear. But I can’t find photos of either. Honestly I’ve got no idea if the bear ever went out but it was sooo cute.
you gotta be at the right place at the right time
you gotta have your art everywhere on you and also be drawing all the time in public
I'm gonna be so real with y'all I don't even have an active online portfolio. So much of my work is just from me having my own artwork I've made in to stickers and keychains to sell for the exotic pet sanctuary plastered all over my stuff and also the fact I'm always drawing.
I have gotten so many commercial requests just from sitting out in public and drawing a bug or something. I turn down most of them though because I am lazy.
Haruhi fujioka really is the character ever. Going by any pronouns in 2006. Big beautiful brown eyes like a baby cow. Constant deadpan delivery. Getting bitches constantly. Reacts to romantic advances with a thousand-yard goldfish stare. Perfect flawless protagonist 10/10
masturbation is evil not for any puritan anti-fun reason but because it has permanently claimed so many verbs
nobody can crank anything anymore. and god forbid you jerk
turning off rbs at 75k btw so get your last reblogs in now
