Arcade:
Arcade has had enough experience to know what he doesn’t like, that’s for sure. He doesn’t like selfish partners, or ones that are too rough, or unfeeling, or serious, and he likes for his partner to excite his mind as well as his body.
Dirty talk, foreplay, and the build up of sexual tension tend to get the doctor going, get him to a place where he can be open with you. He tends to throw a few quips here and there in the early stages of sex and foreplay, but once the hot and heavy begins, Arcade’s façade crumbles. Given enough time, though, he finds that, though he’s not sure it’ll work, he wants to try to be happy again. It’s a big step in the relationship when he does decide he’s ready to be with you physically, and it may take a few times to get it right.
The first time will likely be full of hesitancy, few words, and tentative acts of intimacy that are often retracted almost as soon as they’ve begun, his feelings of guilt and grief making themselves known in his aggrieved expression as he tries to kiss you, in the way his hands tremble as he tentatively grazes them over your skin, as his eyes cloud with unwelcome memories even as he tries to stay in the present moment, with you. The next few times following tend to be almost the exact opposite. All physicality and no feeling, no more hesitancy, quick and borderline rough as Boone grapples with the slew of conflicting emotions that he tries not to burden you with. It's an effort to drive pleasure into you, to be the partner that you need and deserve without opening himself up to the aching and agonizing reminders that more intimate touches tend to bring forth.
Afterwards though, once he becomes accustomed to being with you, seeing you, feeling you, as opposed to her, Boone likes to slow it back down, for the most part. He’s not against the idea of quickies, if the time is right, but he won’t take unnecessary risks as far as semi-public sex goes.
As far as the sniper is concerned, he has a target on his back, and he’s not willing to put his love at risk just to get off. So, fully public sex is a no-no for him. He enjoys being intimate with his partner when he has regained the capacity for it, and is very big on nonverbal expressions of his affection, like eye contact, hand-holding, and kissing during sex, so long as the position allows. He defaults to a soft dominant role, but if his partner really wants to take control, he’s not a stickler about it; though, it may be pretty obvious that he's not used to playing that role, as his hands seem to aimlessly wander, and his hips snap up automatically to meet yours, even against your own wishes.
He doesn’t talk all that much, during sex, and even just in general, but Boone’s communication is very clear, and he makes it transparent to his partner that he would like yours to be direct as well. If there’s something he doesn’t like, or he’s uncomfortable at any point, he outright tells you, and he encourages you to do the same. So, sex with Boone feels very safe, and he wouldn’t want it any other way. His only other form of talking comes in the sparse utterances of his affection and devotion, and soft words of praise or affirmation when he's really wrapped up in the moment, or his partner does something that he particularly likes.
Boone mostly likes to keep it simple, just being with his partner physically is enough for him, he doesn’t need to get into any specific kinks or be in any special position to be content, he just needs to be with you. So, he tends to be pretty vanilla, unless you have something you want to try, but really, he’s very dedicated to you. If you managed to get him into bed in the first place, he trusts you and cares about you a hell of a lot, so he’ll do whatever he can to make you feel as secure and as happy as you’ve been able to make him feel.
Raul:
Despite his roughened exterior, Raul tends to be very soft as a romantic partner, and his lovemaking is no exception. He’s been around a long time, he knows what he likes, and how to please his partner well enough that he doesn’t have to rely on rapid, jackhammering movements, or shows of strength and stamina that’ll just wear you both out. No, he likes to be slow and sensual, favors acting as a soft dominant who puts his partner’s pleasure well before his own. He knows that you’ll make him feel good regardless of your actions. Hell, you just being with him makes him feel like the luckiest ghoul in the wasteland, but he wants to make sure you feel the same way.
That silver tongue of his is put to good use as he tangles himself with a lover beneath the sheets, and in more ways than one.
