i adore the way kids see the world

i was on the bus, absolutely done because of school, and this kid who was sitting with his family accidentally spilled some water onto the floor and it was trickling pretty far away. he said “it’s gonna go all the way and say hi to the bus driver!” and the other two kids started giggling and it was so cute and i subconsciously smiled. when the world is so dreary these moments brighten it up

I was kinda hungry after school and went to 7-11 to get a slurpee. I always get the mini because it’s cheapest, but I guess they out the cups in the wrong order, because when I went to pay the guy at the counter rang me in for a medium. I was confused and pointed at the machine and said, “dude, it’s a mini,” and he said my cup was a medium. A mini is $1.80, but the medium is $2.20, so I was like holy crap i don’t think I have enough for that im gonna go to jail and then the guy said “there’s a discount anyway” and i look at the screen and the medium is $1.50???? HELL YEA. and I thanked the guy and left and I’m happy now. Also not hungry anymore. Yay

what absolutely makes the end of brand new day for me, with ned remembering and recognizing peter, is that … it’s so in character. like jean says it earlier, mj would be sick at the idea of a perfect fairytale kiss waking the princess up ooh so cute BLEGH!! she would hate that. ned, on the other hand? ned would LOVE the idea that they broke the spell and got his memories back by doing their super special best friend handshake, ned would love the whole fairytale magical remembering thing, he would just be all over that.
