Something I think about a lot is when dj khaled spent a day lost at sea on a jet ski literally just because he drove away and got lost and started live posting about it and as he got increasingly panicked he started making like inspirational insta stories about his opps wanting him to fail even though he was entirely responsible for the situation and just started saying shit like âthey donât want you to WIN. they donât want you to get found when youâre lost at sea in the darkâ
saw a reddit post about a trans woman applying to be moved to a woman's prison and even ignoring all the transphobic shit in the comments. like half the people were talking about the assault and rape of prisoners as if it's a good thing, that they deserve it for being "violent criminals"
idk maybe i just thought "people shouldn't be raped and abused for breaking a law" was a take most people agreed with but i guess im just naive

White people donât get killed for being racist, regardless of their gender. At most, they lose friends/partners, occasionally they might lose their jobs if itâs an especially high profile racist incident.
Nonwhite people, especially trans people of color, very much do get killed when white people are racist.
Also, if youâre a trans woman you should fucking know better. We all know what itâs like to be an oppressed minority, so how dare you then turn around and help the damn white supremacists oppress nonwhite people? All USAmerican citizens benefit from imperialism and if you think your minority is exempt youâre a chauvinist. It is so fundamentally baked into American society that simply by existing in this land you are given major benefits that most of the world is simply not afforded.
