headcanon . honestly?? if u ever go out to eat/shop/hang that has anything that deals with money mei will 100% pay, she will even fight you to pay, she kinda has the view of “i come from an old money family, why the fuck am i expecting other people to pay for their own things??”

literally if you ask her for money you don’t even need to tell her what it’s for she’ll just hand it to you and you don’t even need to pay her back.

They’re wrong. You deserve to get better. Don’t you? Aren’t you tired of the bags under your eyes, of the weight on your shoulders? You have a hard time figuring out which relationships are toxic because they’re so fundamentally ingrained into your personality - or so you think - and you don’t know quite how to take care of yourself. You want to touch the stars but you’re so stuck in your problems rather than your dreams it feels like drowning, not flying, and it’s hard to tell the difference between the two feelings of weightlessness.

she huffs, bawled fists are shoved into her jacket pockets. she’s very well aware at this point that he’s only trying to get underneath her skin for the hell of it. sure, he’s hitting the nail right on the head, she can feel her own stomach twist, emptying into a pit that made herself feel nauseous. centuries lands on her shoulder, a legacy she never knew if she wanted to carry so she drowns it out with partying and reckless behavior, self-sabotaging her own relationships with her family. eyebrows furrowed, an attempt to look more annoyed and angry than to portray the real emotion of self-reflection and self-loathing, she doesn’t want to give him the satisfaction.
