D Kane! Born in 1958 and raised in rural Texas, found her start at EMI Latin Records with her first album fruta podrida in 1979, which includes hit songs POPULAR, fantasmas, and never grow up. Releasing the singles: cariño, la luna enamorada, amor eterno, and hasta la raiz. Quickly reaching star status within the Hispanic communities of the US, especially after releasing two EPs: Como la Flor and Unwritten, the popstar signed with EPIC Records in 1981, as they found her sound exactly what they needed to expand their fanbase.

the beauty of having the same things throughout realities. the same birthmarks, the same scars, the same name, even the same birthday. it brings me such comfort knowing that, really, my "dr self", is simply just me. the same soul. she's always been me. i always think about all of the hardships i've gone through here. the ones that i thought i'd never make it out of, that i thought would never get better, are simply just stories to tell there. simply just apart of who i am. who i've always been. . . . i guess it really was never that serious after all.
