The Midnight Club

Not only was this episode an amazing way to tell their story, it was also a great tribute to a timeless classic.

That opening man. That was epic!

Their different stories were brought together so well, its great that we got to learn a bit more about their parents past, and that we got to see their pov for a change. 

After seeing each one happen over the past 2 seasons, it was nice to see all those different relationships, that started back then.

The music for this episode was awesome! 100% on point. So much nostalgia.

The Griffins and Gargoyles storyline is something else entirely. Like Dungeons and Dragons on a whole new level. A LARP game that can kill you in a Teen drama. Well that’s a first. 

A full on flashback episode is not easy to pull off. The Riverdale team has done an amazing job with this. Normally new actors are cast to play young versions of parents, but I love that Riverdale let the main cast play their parents. The cast stepped into these new roles so well. It was perfect. I love how everything came together in the end. It was both sad and interesting to see how everything fell apart for their parents so it could come together years later for their kids. 

Definitely one of the best episodes so far.

lili’s acting in the flashback episode blew me away

FP and Alice are the definition of star-crossed lovers.

They both start out in the same place. South Side trash wanting to escape.

Alice puts away her serpent jacket as FP puts his on.

FP tried to pretend he was someone else. Didn’t work.

Alice tried to pretend she was someone else. Didn’t work.

Their kids fall in love and they’re brought back together.

Their timing has always been off. When Alice wanted to just be with FP he was neck deep in pretending he was someone else. By the time he accepted his fate, Alice bailed.

But I have a good feeling that this time.. after some cult and wife drama.. they’re gonna get it right.

They deserve to be happy together. As it was always meant to be.

Can we talk about how much Alice and FP have always wanted to be with each other!!! And I was floored how this fucking queen set out to show FP she get out of SS “I see your lie about living on Elm Street and raise you me actually living there” saddest part is she did to prove to him she could do better and that she didn’t need him because he wouldn’t admit his feelings and commit to her. HER WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN A LIE. I’m sorry I don’t care what anyone says Alice Cooper is the only well written, depicted, and conceived character on this show. And the parallelssss in this flashback. As well as foreshadowing. There’s def a reason this was in Alice’s perspective. What she saw that night is a huge clue in the mystery. BET SOMEONE WILL TRY TO PUT ALICE IN DANGER BC OF THIS. BUT back to parallels, she said he would be a drunk in a gang in flashback and then season 2 she said it was only a matter of time before he would drink again and go back to gang hoodlums. She knows him better the he know himself. MY HEART. CHESSTT PAINS. I’m willing to sit through every terribly written ridiculous episode of riverdale if it means Alice and FP end up together because that is their happiness. Can you imagine the scene or moment where one or both finally verbally confess how much they’ve always loved each other. This episode also confirms this relationship is here for the long haul. And Madchen keeps saying in promo interviews that they’re soulmates and they are slowly finding their way back to each other. So I’ll be over here crying in the corner with a bottle of wine. Bye now

He was different back then…. Trying to be something other than what he was. But still trouble. I was tough as nails, but around FP, silly putty. Even in detention, with a secret growing inside me, I hated him. But I wanted him.
