This is a fascinating presentation of an event that some of us might imagine very differently. Reflecting on the excruciatingly slow demise of this monster gives me those creepy, unsettling chills. (It’s uncomfortably delightful! In a sad way.)

We could talk a little bit about slow, long-form video as a medium, too. Personally, I’m a fan. Sure, you could sit there and watch the entire thing in realtime, but there’s no reason to feel you should. The video scrubber is your friend. You’re in total control, and every interaction continues to intuitively communicate the overall scale of the thing.

Good stuff. (Also sad.)

theres a guy i work with who is so unnecessarily “”“uplifting ”“” like calling me a rock star for piddly shit and u kno this guys a ~male feminist~~ he looks like the small gay guy from modern family and wears those bizarre shoes that are designed to look like work boots but are actually suede lmao i feel like he has read on feministing that calling female coworkers sweetheart was bad, then read that bossy was bad, so he’s come up with this enthusiastic camp counselor persona and calls me a champ bc i did my job lol he’s not even my boss we are peers ffs i hate him

That’s the literal worst. When you have a coworker who wants to do all these things for you because you helped them out by just doing your job. Like no, I don’t want lunch or snack or anything else. A simple thanks is sufficient. Otherwise it’s just weird and uncomfortable. Also “rockstar,” gag me with a spoon.

Got these photos from @idonotlikethatsam-i-am. Plus some of you wrote into me about it. There’s a badge game on the 3DS that lets you decorate your home screen with birbs! But the badges change everyday so play today! At least that’s my understanding. I haven’t played before but I may now!
