Yes, this!  Complaining to Marvel when their head is Ike Perlmutter, a vile old man who supports Trump, is worthless.  Write to DISNEY, include examples of the alt right, Nazis, KKK, etc., photoshopping Captain America into a Nazi, and tell them that this is not suitable to children and it needs to stop.

Also?  Boycott ANYTHING with Hydra Cap in it, on it, or whatever.  Boycotting Marvel as a whole hurts Squirrel Girl and Ms. Marvel and other books that are not part of this.  Tell Marvel that this is EXPLICITLY about Hydra Cap, and that the boycott will end when Tom Brevoort and Nick Spencer are fired.

Not a confession but a question (and I hate to put you in the middle of the shipping wars like this): 1. Who do you think the best romantic pairing for Harry would have been? Did Rowling get it right with Ginny? Or should it have been Luna? Or even Hermione? 2. If it hadn't been Ginny, who do you speculate Rowling's second choice would have been?

I always wanted harry with luna personally. (honestly, i kind of wanted Ron, Harry, and Luna in a poly relationship), I wanted Ginny with Neville or Luna and Hermione with Viktor or Ginny lolol (and I kinda like Ron and Draco. and then both of them with Cedric too.) There is no ‘getting it right’, its right because thats how she wrote it. Thats what she wanted. Is it right for everyone? nah. but she got it right because its hers to write. 

yeah anyway, i dont think JK had second choices. Ron and Hermione were always going to end up together, as were Harry and Ginny. She knew this from the beginning, she wrote the epilogue before (or during, i dont remember) Philosophers Stone. I think most naturally it would’ve been Luna or Ron anyway. I know tons of people are going to scream hermione at me, but I 100000% never saw it. Like in all of my crazy mix and match shipping, Harry and Hermione never worked as anything other than sibling like friends to me, i dunno why. I used to read harmony fics with a permanent cringe.

If you think about it, it kinda makes sense that the Dursleys abused Harry. We now know that he was a horcrux. Being around one turned the Golden Trio into hypersensitive assholes after a few months, imagine what 10 years would be like. And this is on top of the fact that they were already horrible people who hated him at birth. I have at least a little sympathy for them because of the mental tricks Voldemort’s soul played on them. It certainly exacerbated their already nasty behavior.

The protesters demanded for his apology for his previous statement that he ‘does not agree with homosexuality’. Currently, all president candidates except for 1 publicly stated that ‘they do not agree with homosexuality’ and would not push for anti-discrimination bill that will protect LGBT Koreans.

this morning the bus to campus was really crowded and there were only two seats, one on either side of a guy who was sitting with his legs spread wide. He also had his backpack one one of the seats, which I asked him to move. He did move it, but continued to take up too much space with his legs, as did the guy on the other side of the seat. so, I sat down, and then I spread my legs just wide enough to fully take up my seat. of course, this meant that I was pressed firmly against both men, and had to press my feet into the ground to prevent them from moving me back. the whole ride, I sat like that, maintaining my space. One guy eventually backed down and let me have my seat properly, but the other guy remained pressed against me for the duration of the ride. I didn’t back down. I kept my space. Then, when I was standing up to leave the bus, I turned to them both and said “you spread your legs too wide” and then left without another word. God, you should have seen the looks on their faces! If they seemed uncomfortable and confused during the ride (and lord did they ever) they looked like I had told them the earth was hollow and the sun was green after I said that. Men are so accustomed to taking up space than they are entitled to that it doesn’t even occur to them to respect me or give me space. It doesn’t even occur to them that their claim to space is infringing on my ability to sit like a normal damn person. It’s plainly visible to anyone but them that they’re taking up more space than their share, but take your space back and they’ll push with all their might. They see equality as infringing on their rights, because they’re used to having everything.
