Hi! What is a willogenic system?
Hi! Sorry for taking so long to answer, I don't go on tumblr that much anymore ^^; Willogenic just means a system or (in my case) a headmate that was purposely created! Getting frustrated over anti-endos saying that endogenic systems are just systems who don't remember their trauma. First, even if that was true, it's extremely dangerous to prompt someone (unintentionally or not) to uncover forgotten trauma. Especially if they're not mentally ready for that. Second, endogenic systems can still have trauma! Endogenic just means their trauma wasn't the cause of their system forming. Third, what about mixed origin systems?!?
Take us for example, we've had childhood trauma and formed many traumagenic alters. But we also have both spontaneous AND created alters. Hell, I'M a willogenic alter!! We literally can not and do not want to be labeled as anything other than mixed origin
And you know what? I DON'T WANT TO HAVE OUR SYSTEM CENTERED AROUND OUR TRAUMA ANYWAYS! Let us decide how to label our system!!

Important reminder that "they were good parents and did their best" and "I was extremely abused by my parents" are not mutually exclusive. They can and do co-exist.
Good parenting techniques are not immune to abusive practices.
So, yeah. You may have been loved more than the earth and stars but still been traumatised as fuck.

We're confused on why anti-endos seem to hate the idea of someone having headmates because they wanted to??? Like alters such as protectors, caretakers, and more are there to help the system, hence the name protectors and caretakers. If someone wants people like this in their head, why not just let them??? If it's helping them make their life better and less lonely, why get mad over it? BEING PLURAL DOESN'T HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY TRAUMATIC AND TERRIBLE!!
Often, for other systems, it is completely traumatic and terrible. Those protectors and caretakers are formed from trauma, explicitly, and no matter how nice they may be, they can be so harmful too. Speaking from experience, when I first realized I was a system, my caretaker was hurting us via her perfectionism and my protector stopped us from being open about our sexuality and gender due to internalized homophobia āprotectingā us.
Itās incredibly hard for many systems. Iām not saying theyāre right ā but I understand their lack of understanding.
Yeah, we get that it's not uncommon for people to view being in a system in a negative light due to trauma and struggles that being in a system can often come with. We had to and somewhat still do struggle with a headmate trying to separate us from all our friends and family so we won't get potentially hurt from them. We guess it's less so that we're confused about, but rather wished they were open to the concept of systems being happy and feeling better off being a system. Same for what you said, we don't like when people hate on systems enjoying being a system, but we get where they're coming from
