guys what do we do
Do yall see the zukka x appledash vision or is that just me
The lesson of avatar was never “killing bad people makes you just as bad as them” it was “you cannot be letting fascists dictate what counts as a win or loss” guys like come on it’s been 20 years
Katara doesn’t forgive Yon Rha and hug him and dry him off and walk him home she leaves him scared and sniveling and crying in the mud but she leaves him alive because she realized in that moment that she was only doing this because she felt like she had to. She hates this man, therefore she should want to kill him, right? The narrative isn’t saying wow Katara killing a mass murdering fascist dickwad is just as bad as said dickwad killing an innocent wife and mother during a raid on her home, it’s saying wow isn’t it fucked up that this little girl has been forced to carry this deep seated anger in her for most of her life to the point where the only outlet she believes she has for it is killing a man in cold blood? And like… yeah! That is pretty fucked!
#katara realizing that the man who killed her mother #who has been the face of evil and the war for most of her life (prior to aang's bullshit) #is just a pathetic loser #and by extension that most soldiers who commit hideous crimes of imperialist violence are just Some Guy #god that's really something #like he's Not a monster he's Not uniquely evil he has NO particular grudge against her or kya #the most traumatic event of katara's life was just a day at work for him #and less than a decade later he's nothing. he's retired and miserable and PATHETIC and he's not worth her time #she's better than him in every way #brave and powerful and generous and about all PRINCIPLED in a way he could never be. she's exceptional #she doesn't need to kill him she's already beaten him in every way that matters #and killing him will not create any positive change in the world #katara doesn't show mercy for his sake she does it for hers #god I love you katara ( @batmanisagatewaydrug )
Finished the Viktor piece in time for his birthday!
Jayvik
Crying screaming throwing up
Made an arcane fan animation hehe
Since it is impossible to think about anything other than Viktor and Jayce, here are some musings about Mage Viktor.
The hexcore markings on his face are identical to the ones we see on cult leader Viktor, to indicate that both went through the same resurrection transformation and were equally influenced by hexcore as a result.
Since this is the form he presents (even though it may be at least partially an illusion where it comes to his hands), we may assume that Mage Viktor hadn't gone through his final evolution into the Machine Herald (presumably because his Jayce didn't try to "kill" him), yet still somehow had succumbed to the hexcore influence and virtually ended the world. Essentially, even if he went through the whole transformation and just projects more "human" look for Jayce, it changes little. He still reached all of his idealistic, but essentially self-deluded and warped by Hexcore, goals and became a godlike being with unimaginable power. And still he started to regret such an outcome in his solitude, which led him to exploring the vastness of space and time in attempts to change it.
And he keeps the remnants of Jayce as a constant reminder about what was lost. Jayce who failed to reach him in this reality.
But he didn't really fail, did he?
His mere presence is enough to gradually affect him, because Mage Viktor feels regret. To the extent that he had to successfully overcome the Hexcore influence in order to achieve its downfall. His own love, this human emotion, deemed rudimentary, proved to be stronger than reason and logic, stronger than anything else. To the extent that he created these elaborate intertwined time loops that guarantee success of his mission - saving his love.
Original Jayce did save Viktor, and the world, it just took him some time...
sleepless nights
#this is so beautifully drawn #aaaaaaa
love to think how the rune teleported them across Runeterra and now they get to chill and explore it together
There is no hextech in ekko’s happy au. Viktor and Jayce weren’t even shown there. The reason why this technology wasn’t developed could be because it caused Vi’s death and it was forbidden. This means Jayce and Viktor never met to stabilise it together and the whole idea died. However, Powder still owns some of the stones.
What if it isn’t a universe where hextech isn’t delevoped? Maybe it’s just the universe where it wasn’t Jayce and Viktor who developed it but Powder and Ekko?
I literally see no other explanation for this Powder scene with the stones.
This is my love letter to the most beautiful ship I witnessed this year. Cheers to us Jayvik nation 💫
I guess the real glorious evolution was the homoerotic yearning we made along the way
The straights, the lesbians and the gays
no rain, no clouds, no pain, no shrouds
no final breaths, no senseless deaths
the narrative: *starts the third act by repeating a scene from the first act but now it has a totally different context*

Biblically accurate Sokka 🌊
Katara and Sokka were literally so fine that the very first two people their age they met have fallen for them immediately and utterly.
