Here’s a little Idubbbz art for ya. It’s been awhile since I’ve drawn much of anything so I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. I am in love with this color palette and also edups. https://www.youtube.com/user/iDubbbzTV/videos
There’s a crushing silence where love’s a disease. Like a fever it grips me, like a lover it holds. Scared of getting older, scared of dying alone. I’m in a blue haze. A blue haze.
it me. (this took me forever)
It’s @captainspook! I dunno if it really looks like them & I really didn’t do their cuteness justice & I see tons of mistakes already but OH WELL it was a fun drawing. :)
Saw @revscarecrow and a few other people do the art vs artist thing so I thought I’d do it too. Some charcoal, some oil paintings, couple watercolors and one digital.Â
I never had any real confidence in my art and I thought no one cared about it. This year and the end of last year really proved that wrong. I was chosen to speak at an art conference and both of my oil paintings, the cow (middle top row) and the painting I did in memory of my mom (bottom left) got put in galleries. Which was really cool for me, especially the one I did for my Mom. It is such a personal painting, it was nice that other people saw something in it.
Every time I talk about that particular painting, at least one person gets misty eyed, not including me! She couldn’t speak for the last years of her life so she wrote to us. We still have so many of those notebooks filled with her “talking” to us so I used some pages as collage in the background.
So much of my art is fueled by emotion, especially the stuff I do at home and not for college. I hope that someone can look at my art and feel something. I think some of the best art is the kind that makes you FEEL something, or makes you ask a question.Â
"I don't want anybody else despite the fact you leave me black and blue. It's such an awful thing to be in love with you. 'You should do what makes you happy, even if it makes you ill.' I want you to hurt me, baby, please say you will. Maybe I'm addicted, scared to be alone but I want you to poison me, please don't say no." poison 6″ x 8″ charcoal & watercolor

All I get are these voices in my head, now they're pulling me apart they won't stop. "Jump in the road, what are you afraid of?" Stop stop stop talking stop- "You're lazy, you're weak. Stop trying to be what you're not." Stop stop stop talking stop- "Only the boring are bored, it's time to give up." So jump in the road, what are you afraid of? 6″ x 8″ watercolor & charcoal

More art in a gallery!
This painting 1955-2013 that I did in memory of my Mom is getting put into my college’s gallery. This is my third painting to get put in a gallery, it’s pretty good feeling. This particular painting is super personal to me and actually includes notes that my Mom wrote that I used for collage. I also have a conference I’m going to next week where I’m showing my art in front of a bunch of people and talking about it. I’m nervous but excited. It’s so cool to have my art validated by others. For so long I thought that my art was useless, that no one liked anything I ever did but this past year or so has really proven that is not the case.
“Think you’d be better off in bed reliving the past inside your head. No I don’t have a lot to leave and I’m not good enough to. Was it worth the time you spent? I don’t think so. Was it worth the time that went? I told you so. Was it worth the time you spent? I don’t think so. Could have been worse is what you said.”
Hazy - Red Vox @vinesauce https://youtu.be/qE67jPPCjpM I stayed up to 4am last night to finish this.
6′’x 9′’ drawings from today's class going on sale at the school. Sorry I’ve been so slow with comic colorings. I have been dealing with some stuff and haven’t been too motivated. But thank you to everyone for liking and following.Â
Acid Rain Ran down my brain stem and out my fingers.I felt the cold air and touched your black hair. The rush of colors acid rain. The colors screened you and then I saw through. Robert Delong - Acid Rain I saw Robert live last weekend and it was so AMAZING. It was so much fun and I wish I could go again right now. He is absolutely amazing live, it is so cool to watch. I’ve had his album “In The Cards” basically on repeat since then and I really like the song Acid Rain so I came up with this! It was kind of nice to step away from comic coloring for a minute. More comic stuff coming soon though!

when you realize your drawing from class looks like it has 3 penises in it. (it was a cactus I swear.)
