Bailey was at the moment where he just wanted to get the house off of his hands. He really didn’t mind just giving him the keys at the end of this exchange. Bailey’s eyes widened, he hadn’t even thought to mention that. “Oh, no not at all. Uh, the house is in perfect condition. I’m moving in with my girlfriend, and she’s pregnant, so I’m just trying to make sure I can be there as much as possible.” He mentioned, “But there’s nothing wrong with the house. I’m just moving.” He stalled. “I can give you a tour of it, if you’d like.”

Jensen nodded hearing that the house was okay and he just needed to move because of his new situation was comforting then there being some grave issue going down in the house. At least there was that, and there was something about Bailey that made him believe him. “Congrats?” Jensen said. He wasn’t sure if the whole situation was a happy one or just a surprise he was doing the right thing for. “Uh- yeah, a tour would be great. Not that I don’t trust you, but have to have a feel for a place before you throw down money right?”

“I like the sound of that” he said and nodded as he looked at Jensen. Moving away from the never ending stress of New York life into a somewhat calmer environment was exactly what Benji needed. Here he could talk to people without fearing them knowing his bullies.

Jensen grabbed his coffee and motioned for Benji to follow him over to a booth area. He settled into a seat across from the boy, it was a bit awkward to come with conversation with someone who he almost hooked up with but hopefully they could just start anew. “So- why don’t we start over?” Jensen asked. He honestly couldn’t remember what they talked about before failing to do things, so starting fresh felt like the best option. He could as questions freely. “I think I remember you said you’re from New York- what brought you to Peaches?”

The guy he had a one night stand with was honestly the last person that Nathaniel had expected to see when he walked into the hallway that Henry’s room was in. He supposed it made sense, he vaguely remembered Jensen looking for Henry outside of his apartment when they first met. Of course they knew each other. Nate should’ve known better than to expect to never see him again. His eye twitched as he looked at him, he remembered the night vividly. He quickly looked around for an escape but there was nowhere he could hide and he looked up at the ceiling and internally groaned as he realized there was no way he was getting out of this. He was trying incredibly hard to not be noticed as he attempted to walk past the other.

“heyyy, so I’m cool with pretending that nothing happened between us if you are.” He found himself saying, snapping his thumb and middle finger together on each hand and then doing awkward finger guns.

Jensen had stepped out when others wanted to visit with Henry, he never went far of course. Just sitting on the hospital floor outside the boy’s room, he could’ve gone home- back to his temporary place to get changed or something. He just couldn’t will himself away from Henry, not right now. He cared a lot about him and that fact that he was left unprotected by the lake, if he had just pushed back on his stranger request- he could’ve been there with him. Of course his thoughts were interrupted when Nate’s voice broke through. At first he was confused but then his memories of the night he was looking for Henry came flooding back in flashes. Right- he didn’t need Henry knowing he doinked his neighbour.

Jensen tilted his head confused when he saw the finger guns, in a- what is wrong with this dude face- he clearly had a type for dorks. “That would be best,” Jensen nodded. “I didn’t know you two were close- or are you here under the guise of the right thing to do?”

“Take that back, cryptids and aliens are not nothing. They are some of the worlds biggest mystery’s.” Henry countered, despite there being so many other things he should say that were of more value than that. Yet, it was easier for him to act like that was the only thing that had mattered, instead of trying to navigate the messy situation they were in. “Terrible, feels like I fell down a cliff.” He relayed, though not far from the truth of what had allegedly happened. “Can… Can we talk?” He asked before realizing it was fairly vague, “I mean.. about what I said to you, you know, about being strangers…”

“Don’t get worked up now, you do still have concussion- thought it would make you a bit more normal. Wishful thinking,” he teased. Jensen nodded, understanding that asking someone with a head injury “how’s your head” was a dumb question. A dumb question that Henry got from literally everyone, it was like you hear concussion and that’s the first thing people went to, it’s hard to blame people though when it was hard to think of anything else to say. Luckily, Henry seemed to want to run straight into serious talk. “Yeah- yeah of course. You don’t want to rehash that moment do you?”

Juliet took the ice cream from the guy across from her and handed one to her brother. She was thankful to get the two of them together, she felt like it had been forever since she seen him outside of the Hospital with Henry. She looked down and then up at him and tried to figure out what to say. “How have you been holding up? I know this has kind of been a crazy week.” She didn’t want to make it too awkward, and she knew that she could talk around him but she wanted to know how he was and didn’t want to push too much.

Jensen had felt bad for neglecting his sister lately, granted he was doing it to be there for his something but still he was usually a better sibling than this. Ice cream was a good idea, it was good for the soul- or maybe that was chicken soup. Either way, he was going to try and put Henry’s stuff away and focus on his baby sis. “I’m fine, don’t worry about me,” he assured her. “How have you been doing? I feel like I’ve barely seen you.”

Henry couldn’t deny that he had been shocked that the other was still there, especially after all the shit he had said about wanting to be strangers. Something that now that he thought about it was the worst decision he had ever made. What was the point? He had followed orders to keep his secret safe but here he was in a hospital bed suffering injuries. “Never been good with words anyways, so don’t worry you won’t be the muse to any crappy poems.” He remarked, wondering if he should brace the topic of his thoughts now or wait for when he wasn’t feeling like his whole body was screaming at him.

Jensen leaned over the bed, it was kind of strange that now he was breaking the stranger rule when he had been the enforcer on it. He still was unsure what Henry wanted but he was going to be here until he felt the need to fall back on his nonsense stranger thing. Still he was unsure if he should wait until they were outside of a hospital setting to bring up that cheesy “what do you want to do” talk. “Never stopped you from rambling on about nothing, who knew getting knocked in the head would stop you from talking about aliens in your sleep,” he chuckled softly. Jensen knew Henry was having memory issues, and that he would likely never remember anything from what happened. He was curious if he remembered or even heard what he said on the 911 call. “How is your head?”

With eyes fluttering open Henry is given the sight of Jensen sitting in the chair next to him. “you stayed.” He muses, a way of saying thank you without saying the words. The words coming out slowly and pained, his throat raw and sore. In fact his whole body aches in ways he’s never felt but he’s smiling ever so slightly because there is Jensen in the chair next to him, as if he has been there for hours slumped over.

Jensen had basically been glued to the hospital chair ever since Henry’s attack, he only left so shower and change but came right back to the chair. He felt bad and overprotective of Henry. The stark image of Henry struggling to hang on to life was enough for Jensen to be glued here. He didn’t want to be apart from the boy again. He was playing on his phone and occasionally looking over at Henry as he slept, hearing his voice while his eyes were on his phone made him refocus back on the boy. “Yeah,” he said shoving his phone in his pocket he moved the chair closer to the bed. “Don’t start writing sonnets about it.”

The look on Jensen’s face was all the answer he needed to know that no he wasn’t looking for Pax but rather was here under the impression that he was also going to share a tent with him. “Of course.” He muttered, when he had opened up to his friend about the reason why, he hadn’t expected for him to try to bring the matter into his own hands. After all, what didn’t Paxton understand about ‘the Peacher is blackmailing me into never speaking to Jensen’? “You can stay if you want…” Before remembering that he needed to stop allowing himself to be around Jensen. “I’ll keep myself scarce.”

Jensen sat frozen for a second trying to make a decision, he was confused as to why he would be okay with him staying. “You know, for someone who requested space- I feel like I’ve seen you way more then before,” he said. Jensen’s eyes fixed on Henry. He started to take his pillow out, which solidified the whole just staying thing. He didn’t know if it was out of pure laziness or maybe some fucking answers from Henry. “Scarce? So you’re okay with sharing a tent with me but a week ago you said you wanted to be away from me. Is this a revenge tactic? Because I didn’t play any mind games with you.” Which was technically true, their relationship was just not something he publicised or acknowledge as relationship. Yes Henry was his boyfriend, but he never used that word. Ever, not even with just the two of them.

Shaking the bottle she tried to get the condiment towards the end, of course she would be having a difficult time and at such a time a voice she knew all too well would speak up being her. Just as she went to turn the bottle she was squeezing sprayed red tomato all over her. “Oh god.” she laughed. “We really do.” she smiled warmly. “Especially with me now looking like a hot mess.” she shook her head. “You need this?” she asked. “Careful it has a mind of it’s own.”

Jensen couldn’t help but laugh at the big red mess that ended up all over her shirt before grabbing some napkins to help her clean up. She dabbed at some ketchup right over her bump and it felt weird. “You could never look like a mess,” he softly spoke without even thinking. He took a step back from her throwing out the napkins in the nearby bin. He cleared his throat and took the ketchup from her. “Yeah- as I just witnessed,” he smirked. “You having fun?”

She needed some time to just breathe, and everyone seemed to migrate towards her. Which of course, she loved. She loved being near someone at all times, but right now. She needed space. Sucking in the joint, the exhale she had started broke due to Jensen bumping into her. She let out a small sigh. “I’m always lost.” She spoke, shaking her head. “Want a hit?”

Jensen was surprised, in his limited interaction with Mavi, she had made it clear she didn’t like him- which honestly he was good with. Being universally liked is overrated, but he was not going to say no to weed because she usually didn’t like him. He wasn’t that big of an idiot. “Yes,” he said taking the joint from her and taking a hit before passing it back.

Jensen and his friendship was straight out of a bad half hour comedy where somehow, Jensen was the straight man and Pax was the comedy king. So it was no surprise that once he agreed to bunk with this idiot, that he immediately regretted it. He followed before coming to an immediate stop when he heard Henry’s name. “No- no fucking way,” Jensen shook his head. “I’ll sleep in the woods before I share a tent with fucking Moreau, he already made it clear he wants nothing to do with me.”

When Henry had looked up from his spot in the tent he had been expecting to see Paxton but instead he saw the one person he had been trying to stay away from this weekend. He knew better than to think he could totally avoid him but he hadn’t expected to see him in his own tent and grew even more confused at Jensen’s question. “Not really, are you here looking for Pax? Because I think he’s out swimming or doing who knows what.”

Jensen and Henry both with confused looks painted on their face before a light bulb clicked in Jensen’s head. “I’m gonna kill him,” he muttered shaking his head. “The idiot has seen Parent Trap way too fucking many times.” He was surprised Pax even cared enough about his love life to try and trap him and Henry together but of course that was Pax. Full of surprises, maybe it wasn’t too late to find his sisters.
