“It was- well I’d rather not talk about it. I’m fine really. Just glad to be back.”
“Of course. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to pry. We’re certainly glad to have you back.”
“I’m here now, darling, are you alright?”
“I’m fine now. Are you alright?”
I haven’t heard, but I assume he’ll be out soon.
I’m sure he’ll be happy about that. He doesn’t seem the type to enjoy being cooped up in there for too long.
“Good. I’m glad.”
“Thank you, Miss Hazelwood. Are you alright?”
That’s an accurate statement.
How long will he be in the infirmary? Has anyone said yet?
“I’m really glad to hear that, Jerica. I can’t imagine what it was like for all of you here.”
“It can’t have been any easier for you out there. Are you alright, Lanni?”
“Jerica.”
“Viktor.”
“All right, all right, I’ll try not to worry about you so much. Keyword being ‘try’.”
“I greatly appreciate the effort.”
“Orion– as I’ve been told– will work just fine. Someone actually calls me oreo, but I have yet to remember that one.”
“Thank you, Orion. Oreo? Sounds like someone close to you.”
I dunno. Mrs. West seemed to be having an okay time.
Yes, well... the Careers are a bit of a different story.
We’re a team, right? It’s the least I could do.
Absolutely.
Well thank you, I am just so very flattered and relieved.
“… But I’ll definitely feel better once you’re feeling better.”
“See? I knew it.”
“You’re very sweet, Rhys. I’m going to be just fine. You have no further need to worry about me, I promise.”
“Mr. Howle? Surely I’m not that old. I don’t remember my age, exactly, but I am betting we aren’t that far apart.”
“It has nothing to do with your age, I assure you. I don’t call anyone by their first name until I’m invited to - I was trying to be respectful.”
Let’s just say it’s been a wild few years
Oh, I can only imagine. He seems the type to keep everyone on their toes.
“It’s nice to see you too. Oh, I’m doing perfectly fine. Thanks for asking.”
“Of course. Have you gotten back to work?”
“Who was asking, exactly?”
“Well, hello, Mr. Howle.”
“Certainly not you. I’m very aware of that.”
