I am still in disbelief over my friend Sam Sarpong. I am heartbroken and confused at the same time. His presence meant so much to so many and his absence has had an outpouring of #love. I only wish it didn't take his death for him to see how many people truly love him. #Depression is real people. We must do better at reaching out to our friends and loved ones. Hollywood is NOT an easy business, we deal with rejection on a daily basis, it has it's highs and lows. Losing Sam is so close to home because I myself struggled in those dark places. I only wish I had been able to speak to him and share my story. I guess I've been embarrassed about it, it's not something I am proud of. But this loss shows me that you never know what someone is feeling no matter how positive or happy they seem and sharing your story, your testimony, could #change someone's life. We need to do something about this, if you're feeling these thoughts please reach out to someone, a friend, a hotline, someone, trust me they will listen with an open heart. People want to help, you just need to have the #courage to reach out and know that the feeling of darkness is only temporary. Trust me you CAN and WILL get through it. #Suicide is NOT the answer. I can't believe we lost such a #light to the darkness. I will keep our memories close Sam. I pray that the Lord shall open the gates to such an incredible angel. We miss you Sam "Future" Sarpong....
