This image gives me all the feels and makes me even more excited to be headed back to Alaska for almost all of June! Out of all the places I've been/lived, Alaska is one that I just can't shake. There's something so profound and untouched about the wilderness there...it's truly awe-inspiring. I'm so excited to be visiting Georgia for three whole weeks next month, starting April 20! I can't wait to spend time with my family, catch up with friends, and of course, ride all the horses 🐴 😉 I'm booking 3 portrait sessions while there, and I'll also be driving up to Charlotte, NC for a wedding the weekend of April 29 and have one spot left for a NC session. For a long time I felt like I was called to do "more" with my photography; to reach into the depths of my journey with God and share his light with others, sometimes even feeling sad that I wasn't doing enough to reflect him and that my work was simply self-aggrandizement. I longed to create something that would honor him, something to break walls and move hearts closer to Him. I prayed that somehow I would work with a Christian publication who would actually want this from me. It was a few months ago when my friend @tarashton reached out to me about doing a shoot for @thryvemagazine, a Christian magazine filled with raw and moving truths about Christ and who God is and what He has done. I was humbled. I was filled with joy that He had not only heard my prayers, but answered them! I'm so excited to share this publication with you all; it's currently free and available online. These two were so genuine and filled with love for each other and for the path they chose to celebrate their marriage. These two were literally up for anything; we climbed over a log jam and through waist deep water to get to the ceremony site and they completed trusted me. I feel like I made lasting friendships that day in the gorge and I was so honored to be there.
