#KindaLong + #Personal but I wanted to share! • on November 18 2017, my sister @kaela_renee got me floor seats to a Texas basketball game from her job at the Texas club. I called my mom to tell her but my dad said she was in town + to call her cell. she didn’t answer so I texted her. little did I know she was at the hospital having her vitals checked but she still didn’t want my family to tell me because she didn’t want me to worry. (if you didn’t know, my mom had Multiple Sclerosis) later that night after the game, she suddenly passed away. the doctor who saw her that day sent us a letter after learning of her death + said everything was perfectly normal + that he’d never experienced a patient dying hours after confirming they were healthy. flash forward to November 18 2019, the same day two years apart, my bestie @faithdotjpg had the honor of being recognized as the teacher of the Mavs vs Spurs game: my moms favorite NBA teams (she was obsessed with Dirk + anything San Antonio, we literally vacationed there every year 💀) and my first professional basketball game. I know this was her working with God to ensure that I didn’t have a bad day thinking about her being physically absent from me. and having nearly floor seats for FREE for my first professional game recognizing my bestie, a san antonio native. although it still hurts + is hard to wrap my head around sometimes, I can truly say that I am more than blessed; even with the trauma I endured from losing her. + I am thankful that the greatest gift my mom ever gave me was faith (lol) in God. 💛 forever missing you karen vonrosea.🌹 (at American Airlines Center) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5JowIjApEe/?igshid=nqyq7toyye9w
