The way they look at each other. There was something in Bay's eyes when Sun was checking if he still felt the fever. He was almost vulnerable and he let Sun sees it without any fear. Sun was really caring and gentle. If only they were able to be this way all the time, instead of pretending to be someone they are not.

Not enough stories with disabled protags who were once independent loners and abled struggling with their new reality of relying on others. Where is the anger? . Where is your rage? Lets scream abt it. Rage rage rage.
Theres too much tip-toeing around the writing of violatile emotions for my liking when its part of the grief for your own body/ability. Grief thats mistaken for ungratefulness. Whatever.
But that would probably require equal respect and emotional grace for disabled people that people give their caretakers so like lmao.
Im gonna be so real i think that people are scared to show anger from disabled people bc they are scared of seeing disabled people through a lense of the average person.
They think the most saintly thing you can do is care for someone disables but don't care about the emotions the disabled person themselves feel. Once you reach a certain threshold of disability, people stop seeing you as on the same level of humanity as everyone else. So the thought of a disabled person actually having negative emotion towards this help is shocking to them.
Sympathy is handed out to those exhausted and hurt from having to care for disabled people (which is fine), but not those whom may be in the process of mourning their own bodies/ability/mind. We can show a nurse/doctor having a breakdown, have entire genres of show and movie and book revolve around it, but if a disabled person lashes out thats seen as something much crueler in the eyes of the typical viewer. Its spoken about in the same vein of a dog who bites and thus "needs to be put down".
Why? Why? One day that could be you. You are not safe from one day becoming disabled. Nobody is.

Hallucination or not, one thing is sure Bay would like to have a different kind of relationship with Sun that doesn't involve this childish rivalry they have got so far. Now, he probably needs to admit it before it can truly happen. It's probably time to listen to his own heart.

He really didn't expect that his "rivalry" with Sun would end because he would leave for his national training camp. It really hurt him too. I guess he got used to their rivalry to the point that he can't imagine Sun being away.
It doesn't matter that they have been "rivals" for such a long time and they are even neighbors. Did he think it would be forever? It's not like he isn't thinking about going abroad after high school.
One semester would not change anything... but behind this "rivalry" there is something else and I don't know if he understands it or if he is hiding it.
Did he stop playing because Sun also plays tennis and he is good at it? Was it a choice or was it something he gave up for Sun? I'm curious about it.
Did they used to train together and then suddenly, Bay said he wanted to give up because he was bored? Was he really bored or like everything else when it comes to Sun, he just hid the real reason?
There are a lot of things we don't know yet about this character so far. We know he is really good at playing tennis and it was something he got into because of his father.
Is it something that he truly wanted or is something he chose to do it because his father wanted it? Sometimes children who are good at one activity believes that they have always wanted to do it, but deep down they have other interests.
When the principal asked him he liked something other than tennis, he couldn't answer. I mean you can love a sport and still appreciate other activities. Even professional athletes have other interests.
When this scene happened, I thought maybe he just wanted to spy with his other account on Bay's account. They have this weird rivalry-attraction going on so it wouldn't be a surprise.
But what if it was something else too? What if he likes art too? What if he wanted to make art too or is curious about it, but thought he couldn't do it. Is it because of his dad or is it because Bay does it too?
do u guys ever wonder abt what vegas was thinking between getting shot and collapsing on the floor and passing out. if he was thinking abt how at least he can die knowing that pete wants him. that pete was there. that the last thing he got to see was pete's face even tho it wasn't him who killed him. was he thinking abt how it should've been pete who killed him. was he glad to die. bc there truly is nothing left and pete would be better off without him? that he deserved to die? was he thinking abt his father while falling unconscious or did he listen to the shots pete fired and pete wailing? was he awake just long enough to feel pete collapsing next to him and leaning over him. long enough to feel him lying on his chest? long enough to think that maybe this is the best way to die? to drift off while feeling pete's warmth?
