I have a fighting-robot comic called Striker/Shell in the development stage. This is the blog for it! Pencil: me Colour: saltpix

Came up with the initial idea back in 2011, and man…it went from a bland idea to something I’m really pumped for. It’s got a huge cast of hardcore chick characters. I’m working on the style atm but it’s gonna be duper cute/colourful yet gorey/grunge-y, ahh I’m so super pumped working on this. The story is nearly complete so I’ll be workin on the script within the next few months. I’ve never been so excited for a project like this before so I hope some of you will join me for the ride as I work on this and as I attempt to boost my robot-drawing skills, (which is at like level 1.5 atm aha). ALSO UPDATE: I have changed my main account. Renamed this one jetsamSUNK and the new one is my original sn: jetsamJUNK. Will post about that again later. Atm there’s only one reblog post but art will come soon! Gonna refollow peeps soon. (It’s gonna be strictly art posts/updates on stuff I’m working on/planning/occasional reblogs/etc).

So this is what I did for my film 1 final. Didn't get the chance to shoot some shots due to a stupid locked door so I did what I could with what I had. Thank yous go out to sullygal and jshark111 for acting for me <3 I was originally feeling super insecure about this but then the prof and some classmates complimented my editing and sound so that was a nice(and honestly sort of needed) ego boost. (I have not been producing very good work in my studios this term so my pride's been taking some hits). (Also I'm sorry Syd, I never got your last name in there proper because someone was using the comp my finalcut file was on when I got to class :< and then I totally forgot after class )

So the CG Monster High movies are pretty alright. They're campy as fuck but like, if I had a kid I'd want them to have a show like it. The webshow is a different story. It's ok and I like what it teaches but it's so hard to get through the episodes when no matter where you watch them the theme song plays before every. single. one. and the episodes are only a couple minutes long...so that gets old fast.

When I look back on this semester this will be proof to myself that I actually left my apartment. This is also proof that I don't know what to do when a camera's pointed at me. This is alsoALSO proof that I need to socialize more and force people to watch cartoons more often 'cause Jimmy is a cartoonbaby who doesn't know how to be a proper animation major.

Finally got over my laziness and reset my tumblr password so I can log on now. Buuut I most likely won't be on much still 'cause I got a hell of a school life(more like a constantly working life) Anyway, this is what I'm working on for animation. It's a more personal piece that I've wanted to do for awhile. I don’t think people realise how hard it is to re-discover the person you were before depression or even try to remember your own personality

'Cept you'd be a different person now than you were then even if you didnt undergo depression. The thing is that after serious depression you get the joy of being whoever you want without depression interfering because now who you become is open to all sorts of possibility.

Plus, depression is like anything else, someone could change after dealing with and surviving cancer, or losing a limb. It's all about you being someone who's been througj something and it makes you stronger and more appreciative of the life you have.
