Also, I do apologize. I know you said you wanted them to slow dance and I just remembered as soon as I was done with story 😭😭.
You could only pray as you tried to navigate your way out of the dark maze known as the forest. Your eyes darted towards the direction of any sounds like leaves crackling or sounds of rowdy animals.
It was just turning dark and you were sure that the challenge had ended, yet you couldn’t find your way out of the forest. You didn’t had anything you could use to contact your teammates nor a source of light to guide yourself out of the forest. You were completely alone.
But then, you heard a faint sound of music.
Your lips widen in disbelief as you rushed to the direction. You didn’t had time to think about anything. What if it was just the radio Chris had placed all around the forest to confused the players with? Then he has to be aware that you’re alone right? And also, the music’s only coming from one direction, so that has to be a way out.. right?
You were already out of breath as you finally made your way to the source. Your eyes widen. There, in front of you, was Chris dancing to slow, jazz music. Your heart was pumping from the running you just did, but that didn’t stopped you from being well annoyed and done with the older man before you.
“Chris.” You called out. The black head stopped himself from swinging his hips and cocked his head to face you.
“Y/N?” He called rather confusingly, but fixed his face as he had now put on a fake smile. “Y/N! Yes, you’re the first one to find me, which means you win a free jacuzzi.”
You only stood annoyed, still out of breath as you eyed him up and down. “I was lost in that stupid forest and you’re out here dancing like you didn’t had a competition to run.” You stomped toward him with anger and annoyance rising in your voice. “Did you forgot about me?”
“What?” Chris eyes held discomfort as he stepped back. “I would never. In fact,” he fixed his posture, “this is an extended part of the challenge and you are the first one to finish.”
“I hope that stupid jacuzzi isn’t the thing I won.”
“Huh? You don’t want it?” You stayed silent, anger still seething from you. “Alright, alright,” he extended his hand, “let’s dance. It’s a good way to blow off some steam.”
“I’m not dancing with you, Chris.”
The man slumber his shoulders a bit before moving toward where he had his radio on the ground.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m changing the song.” Just then, instead of slow, jazz, the music has now become full pop, something you were familiar with.
You moved your shoulders a bit. “Is this…?”
“Yep,” Christ began shimmying his shoulders as well. “Took some song request from you guy’s file to add to my playlist. You people have surprisingly good taste.”
You smiled a bit. “I’m surprised you remembered.”
“Trust me, I did forgot until just now.” He laughed, but you hadn’t found that funny. “Sorry.” He quickly stopped. “But anyways,” he turned the radio up a bit more. “Let’s dance.”
You watched as Chris wiggled his body before moving his hips forward and backwards in the rhythm of the music. You stared for a while before following suit. You were awkward at first but eventually got into the grove with the man.
“Is it working?”
“Hm? Is what working?”
“Are you still angry?”
You thought for a bit. Your chest didn’t felt tight, and you haven’t been frowning since you started dancing.
“Just a bit.”
“Then it’s working.” He stopped moving and made his way toward you. He grabbed your hand gently, which forced you to stop your movement as well.
“What are you doing?”
“Dancing. You haven’t heard of a two-people dance before?”
You stilled for a bit but allowed Chris to pull you close to him.
“Slow dancing will definitely calm your nerves.”
You rest your head against his chest and allowed him to slowly guide you with the song.
Also @uselessmoonlight I would like to apologize if my comment was a bit harsh. I didn’t mean for it to come out like that, but I do like your idea of Poseidon being his father (which doing a bit of thinking, it would make quite a lot of sense if he was Teleporting’s ‘father’ instead of Antinous who initially had). Once again. I do apologize.
Slightly edited
The king of Ithaca looked out onto his lively kingdom from his large balcony. His eyes roamed around at the sight of children playing and adults conversing. Though, the portrayal of a family eating and chatting together made his heart clenched. His eyes bore on the group longer than anticipated. He wondered if the group could’ve felt the sensation of his eyes with how long he was staring at them. He only stopped when his wife, queen of Ithaca, brought him back from his wondering mind.
“Odysseus.” She called. Her soft tune lured him to face her as he awaited her statement. “Are you alright, honey?” Odysseus remained quiet at that. His wife had already knew the answer to the question, making her feel idiotic for asking. “Everyone’s waiting for you. They need you to confirm a few things for them about tomorrow.” She brushed off her thoughts as spoke. Though, her husband didn’t seem to keen on today’s activities. “Odysseus?”
“Penelope,” the man finally spoke, “Do you think he’s.. waiting out there for us?” The question forced Penelope to stay frozen in her spot. “What do you think he’ll look like? Bet he’d look just like you.” He chuckled at his last statement. Penelope furrowed her eyebrows as a frown crossed her lips. No matter how many time she is questioned about her long, lost son, it’d still bring her to a halt.
She let out a shaky sigh. “I-I don’t know, Ody. I just-“
“Do you think we’re ever able to find him?”
Penelope eyes widen at that. Her heart was pounding and her mouth turned into a deep scowl.
“Nonsense!” Her hand flew to his chest in frustration. “How could you say that, Ody?!” Odysseus remained quiet as he awaited his crying wife words and continuous hits. “We’ll find him. I don’t care how, where or when,” she then leaned herself onto her husband’s chest, voice now shaky from the crying and eyes now watery from the tears. “We’ll find him. I’m sure of it.”

“Are we there yet?”
“No.”
“Hm.” Telemachus stayed quiet for a moment before speaking once more. “Are we there now?”
“Keep talking and I’ll be taking you back to your so-called palace.”
Telemachus scrunched his face at your sassy tune. “Where are going anyways?” He wondered. His eyes watched the back of your head as he awaited your response.
You stayed quiet for a moment before answering. “You’re stressing me out, so I need a drink.”
“What?” Telemachus started, but was quickly cut of by the abruptness of your walking.
“We’re here.”
The two young adult stopped at a small building. ‘Snuckly Duckly’. It was a small bar where criminals, usually like yourself, hangout at. A place to get away from guards or ‘the justice system’.
The doors were slightly ajar which gave you the chance to enter the place.
“Well, if it isn’t the great cat burglar.” Your eyes moved to the man that stood proudly at the center of a table filled with drunken men. “You’re as pretty as ever.”
You squinted your eyes in annoyance. “Antinous.” You moved yourself and stood protective in front of Telemachus, who, if you do say so yourself, felt rather intimidated by the men in the room.
“And who’s the pipsqueak behind you?” Antinous growled. His eyes held annoyance at the thought of you and that ‘boy’ being together.
You glanced behind you. Telemachus was still behind you, but instead of being intimidated like before, he was now curious. “He’s none of your concern.” You answered. You grabbed his hand and walked to the counter, Antinous following behind you. “I just needed a drink.”
“A drink, huh?” Antinous sat beside you, on your right, as Telemachus sat on your left. “You know, speaking of, I’ve been hearing a lot about you and your work. What? we’re stealing from royals now?” Antinous let out a rough laugh. “You’re not such of a good girl as I thought you’d be.”
You just shrugged your shoulders. “Well. You gotta do what you gotta do. Nothing isn’t free in this world.” The bartender handed you your drink and you nodded in acknowledgment.
“What? Do what you gotta do? That doesn’t make any sense.” Telemachus butted in. “You’ve never had a dream? I think it’s easier than trying to go pass life as so.”
As you were about to answer the male’s question, Antinous jumped in before you could. “A dream, huh?” The man watched as you took a sip of your drink. “I believe every one of us have one. Ha.. we had one.” He pointed to a gruff looking man in the corner. “See that guy over there? Melanthius wanted to be a florist, and Eurymachus, see him?” He pointed to another man that looked rather angry and mean. He had a mug in his hand that he occasionally sipped from. “He wanted to be an interior designer.” He turned back to look at Telemachus. “And you wonder what my dream was?”
“What.. was it?” Telemachus dared to ask and Antinous didn’t answer right away.
“His dream is to get with me, but it’s never happening.” You let out a short laugh, making Antinous eyes widen at that.
“That’s not funny, you know.” He became flustered with embarrassment at your statement. He then cleared his throat. “But my dream is simple. I want to be a concert pianist. Maybe I’ll even be able to perform for the king and queen themselves.”
“Hm.”
Telemachus smiled at that. “That’s nice. What about you, Y/N?”
You hummed in thought. “Nothing much. Just want to be surrounded by lots of money in an island that I will eventually own.”
Telemachus looked at you weirdly. “You really do like money, huh?”
You just shrugged your shoulders, not giving much of an answer.
“Well,” Telemachus started. “If any of you even cared. My dream is to see the lanterns in person. And to meet the people that does that.”
Antinous scoffed. “Boring.” He then lets out a chuckle. “It’ll be impossible to do so. Basically everyone lights up those lanterns, so I guarantee it’ll be hard for to figure out who lets them up ‘just for you’.” He cackled. “You’re something else.”
Telemachus just glared at him. “Although I do believe they were lit up for me, I never said it was. I just thought it’d be nice to see them in person. Especially since tomorrow’s my birthday.”
“Well, it’s a good thing we all have dreams.”
“ANTINOUS!” The man head turned to the direction of the voice. He eyed the man that yelled his name. The man looked frantic. His eyes held panic and his breathing was uneven. Antinous wondered what was wrong. “There are guards coming this way.” Antinous eyes widen and looked straight at you. Your eyes were just as wide as his.
“You two have to hide.” Antinous grabbed ahold of your hand while you grabbed Telemachus’. The man lead you both behind the counter where there was a secret passage way leading outside the building.
“Guards? Doesn’t that mean you’d have to hide too?” You questioned, eyes holding worry as you stared at your friend.
Antinous smiled at that. “Don’t worry about us. We’ll be fine. Besides, you’re more of a criminal than any of us are. You should be more worried about yourself than anything else.” Just then, the guards finally entered the place with a mean scowl.
“Have you men seen this woman before?” The guard held up a picture of you. The men in the bar played confused. They all looked around acting as if they haven’t seen you escaped just a few moments ago.
Antinous gently nudged you to enter the passageway, which you have a smile at. “I’ll see you next time.” You whispered. He gave a nod of acknowledgment, now watching as you and Telemachus crawled your way through the passageway.
The guard eyed everyone in the room. He moved his body further and looked around the place for any clues that may be useful.
“You’re a bit too late,” Antinous voice rang through the building. His eyes daggers led at the guards as he waited for him to make a move. “She was here just a bit earlier, but left before we had to chance to speak to her. She’s swift like that, you know? Beautiful too.” The guard remained quiet. “So now that she isn’t here, I advice that you leave my bar before things gets ugly.”
The guard did a quick look around once more before leaving the building.
The breath the men didn’t knew they were holding was finally released. They all cheered as they had successfully turned the guards away from you.
In the midst of the celebration, the entry to their place opened. Antinous eyes widen at the person that stood before him.
“Im looking for my son. Have you seen him?”
Antinous was a bit hesitant to answer. His body was shaken and his mouth was left ajar. He didn’t know what to say.
“L-Lord, Poseidon.”
Plllzzzzz im glad I got this chapter over with. And yes. The story is barely edited but at least it’s done 😭🥲
“Are you for real right now?” Your eyes bore deep into the dark brown ones as you questioned the male in front of you. He lowered his eyes to the ground as he was unsure of his decision. “If it helps, I literally tried to rob you. And now you want me to bring you outside your own home?” Telemachus remained quiet. Now that you had said it out loud, it did sound stupid, but you were his only chance. You were the only one who can show him what life was like outside. Not his father.
“Yes, yes.” He dragged out. “You owe me, too. Like you said, you were trying to rob me. It’s the least you can do.”
You groaned. “Ugh. Fine. Just untie me or whatever.”Telemachus grinned happily at your words. He did as told and watched as you gave your wrist a slight rub to ease the pain. “So.. how do you even exit out of this castle? There’s no doors in and no doors out.”
“The same way you got in.”
You stared at the teen with annoyance. “I climbed the castle with my two daggers made for one person. If I’m showing you around, you better find a way out of here.” You voiced as you made your way to the window. You took out your two daggers and began climbing down the tall, large castle. Though, when you least expected, a large, long rope flew out the window. Sliding down the rope was a giggling Telemachus who seemed ecstatic to be out of his home. “And find a way out you did,” you finally made it to the bottom of the castle with a small thud. Your eyes moved over to Telemachus who was confused, yet curious of the grass beneath his bare feet.
“The grass and the dirt..” he scooped up a handful of the soil, “It smells amazing.” He laid himself on the ground and began rolling around in it.
You scrunched your face at that. “Are you a dog or something?”
“My life.. it begins here.”
“And he’s totally ignoring me.”
Telemachus shot up from his spot on the grass and made his way to you. “The grass feels wonderful! Who knew grass would feel this way? Oh! And the air! It’s so fresh and it smells amazing.” He grabbed ahold of your hand and dragged you down a hill, moving further away from his home without a care in the world. “I can just go running, and jumping, and dancing, and chasing, and–and everything!”
You rolled your eyes at him. “Aren’t you being a bit dramatic? It’s just grass.”
Telemachus paused in his spot. He seemed a bit offended by what you had said. “Grass? Just grass? It might not mean a lot to you, but it does means a lot to me. And! Grass gives us air, so I, in fact, care a lot.”
“Gee.. crazy much.” You muttered, soft enough for Telemachus not to hear. “But anyways, you said you wanted me to take you out the house. Is there any specific reason?”
“Well,” The teen turned from you and onto the buildings in the distance. “There’re these lanterns that appear once a year on my birthday. I always see them, but have never once touched it. I want to touch one.” He smiled. “And I also feel as if maybe, just maybe, those lanterns were lit just for me.”
“Or maybe you’re delusional.” Telemachus frowned at your words. “Sorry.”
Telemachus then sighed. “I want to find the person who lights up those pattern and personally thank them for giving something to look forward to every year. Those patterns are starting to become the only thing that makes me happy.”
“Wow,” you whispered. “Your life is pretty sad.”
“Says you. You’re the one climbing a castle just to steal from it.”
“It’s the thrill, sweetheart. Nothing more, nothing less. The goods are just a bonus.” You chuckled at the annoyance that was drawn on Telemachus’ face. “Anyways,” you cleared your throat. “What I’m hearing is that you want to go the kingdom of Ithaca.” The teen nodded his head. “Right. I can carry you there, but there’ll definitely be a cost.”
“What? What do you mean a cost?”
“I haven’t thought of it yet, but there’ll definitely be one.” Telemachus rolled his eyes. “When’s your birthday anyways?”
“My birthday is tomorrow. I’ll be turning twenty.”
“Turning twenty and you still need mommy’s approval to leave the house?” You teased, a grin seemingly placed on your face.
“My dad’s actually. I know he’ll be pissed when he see that I’m gone.”
You shrugged. “Well, there’s no turning back. You will not be wasting my time.” You began moving ahead of the teen but stopped as you realized he wasn’t following you. “You ready?”
Telemachus held his tongue as his mind began to race. He was ready, that’s for sure, but he was also scared. Scared of what exactly? Only future can tell, but overpowering that fear was excitement. He was excited for the journey ahead of him. To touch a lantern and to meet to person who has been lighting them up for years. So, Yes. He was ready.

Please. I thought about this idea at like 2’oclock in the morning lol. Anyways, this was briefly edited. Thanks for reading.
Forced to marry Penelope when his true love is You.
Not edited
“Y/N..” Odysseus eyes grasped your figure as you sat near the river. Your body stiffened at the sound of the young male’s voice. Your body turned to face him and gave the boy a smile.
“Odysseus.” You stood up from your spot and made your way to him. “What took you so long? My father’s probably wondering where I am.”
You gave him a questioning look and he chuckled at that. “I know. I’m sorry.. that’s what I actually wanted to tell you.” He paused for a moment as if contemplating if he should even go with what he wanted to do. He sighed. It was better to tell you now than to have you find out later. “I’m,” he held his tongue. He watched as your eyebrows furrowed together in concerned as you patiently waited for him to speak. He knew it was now or never. “I’m getting married.”
It was quiet. Something Odysseus wasn’t used to when it came to you. He saw as your mouth clenched together and as your eyes darted anywhere but his. He knew he had made a mistake, but it wasn’t up to him to decide that.
“Y/N? I–“
“I’m happy for you. Truly.” He saw the way your lips quiver together. He could see the tears in your eyes straining itself to not be seen by him. If it was up to him, he would’ve ran away with you as far as he could. But it wasn’t for him to decide.
He grabbed her hands. “But, Y/N, you know I love you. I wouldn’t love anyone else, but you.”
“I know, Ody,” you let out a shaky sigh. “I love you, too.” You caressed his knuckles with a strained smile. “Who is it?”
“The princess of Sparta, Penelope.”
“Penelope, huh? Princess of Sparta. She’s a good choice.”
Odysseus tried to figure out the look you held on your face. It was different from earlier, like you held no emotion. Have you easily accepted this arrangement? That was not like you. He knew as the person to fight. Why do you seem.. okay with this?
“It wouldn’t make any sense fighting, Odysseus. Her kingdom is on a higher spectrum than mine. And even if I wanted to marry you, would your kingdom even be okay with that? I’m lucky to even be recognized as a princess, and my kingdom has nothing to offer if we were to be together.” You sighed. I think it’s best if you are with her. Penelope. She’s a smart girl, too. I know she’s very strategic. You both will make the perfect couple.”
“Y/N..”
You let go of his hand. “I really do love you, Ody. Let’s part ways for now. When destiny allow us, we’ll see each other.” You voiced before giving him peck on the lips.
Odysseus watched with tearful eyes as you trudged away from his sight.
He never wanted this. He never wanted to marry Penelope. He wanted to marry you. To live his life with you. To have kids with you. Would it have been better if he had never told you? No.. it would’ve been better if he had denied his parents’ idea in marrying the princess. He don’t want his life to be with the princess if Sparta. He wanted to be with you: The queen of his heart.
He looked up into the sky, tears finally falling down his eyes. “What do I do? What can I do?”
——————
Years have passed. Many years have passed.
Odysseus was now in his late twenty’s and had soon became king of Ithaca alongside his wife, Penelope, who was now the queen of Ithaca.
They both had a son who they named Telemachus. Life couldn’t been better right?
Odysseus held his baby boy in his arms as he walked down a dirt path just a feet away from his kingdom. He hummed softly to keep his son entertained as he showed him the trees and the falling leaves. He continued his pace down the path and finally came across the place he’d been meaning to visit since a few years ago.
“This is the river I use to visit when I was younger. I.. had a friend. I miss her a lot. She would’ve made a good aunty for you.” You can hear the slight wobble in his voice. “Am I a bad guy.. for still loving her? Even after all these years? I’m married, I have a baby, and yet… I don’t feel the happiness I was hoping to feel.” He quieted himself to focus on the sound of the moving river and the dancing tress caused by the wind.
“Didn’t expect you to be here.” Odysseus turned in a speed of light at the sound of a woman’s voice. A voice he knew well.
“Y/N.”
“You look different.” You smiled. Your eyes moved over from his hair straight done to his toes. Though, your eyes widen at the bundle that he held in his arms. “Aww. Who’s this little guy?”
Odysseus stuttered out. “This is–uh–this is Telemachus. My–My son.”
“Telemachus.” You stared at the baby in the man’s hand. The boy gurgled at the sight of you, soon giving you a smile. “What a cute baby. He looks just like you.”
“Y/N.”
“What is it, Odysseus?”
“I.. I’m sorry.”
“About?”
He stayed silent. What was he sorry for exactly? You both liked each other and you both were definitely dating at the time. Was he sorry that he couldn’t have you? Was he sorry that he couldn’t find a way to marry you instead of Penelope? His mouth felt sewn together as he couldn’t find an answer to your question.
“Odysseus. You have a wife and a child. The past is the past. This is our future. This is your future. So why are you still thinking about us? You should be thinking about building a good future for your son.” You finally spoke up. And Odysseus knew you were right. You were always right and always knew what to say, which was one of the reasons he fell for you. And he held onto that love for years. “I really do love you, too, Ody. But it wouldn’t be fair to Penelope to see her husband with another woman. Especially when she gave birth to his child.” Odysseus stayed silent. “For now on, Odysseus, I think it’s best we don’t see each other anymore. For your sake and mine.” You placed a hand on his cheek and gave it a slight pinch. “I’ll always love you, Odysseus.” You gave him a soft smile and whispered: “This is definitely not how I thought destiny would allow us to see each other.” You let go of his face and trudged away from his sight.
He watched. He wondered: What can he do? What will he do? In fact, there’s nothing he can because he had already decided his future. And his future does not involve you and will never involve you.
In placement of Penelope, you reflect on your days you had with Odysseus and your son, Telemachus, as you reached your death bed, patiently waiting for your husband to come back home.

Your arms felt heavy as you raised them toward your son’s face. You can see in his eyes that it held nothing but pain as he stare back into yours.
“Ody….Odysseus, my love.”
“No, mom. It’s me. Telemachus.” He whispered out.
Your son, Telemachus, was now in his fourties, trying to hold the fort up with the best of his abilities. You would think with the age you’re in, suitors from around the nation would leave you be, but you would be wrong. They’d take advantage of your weaken mind and state and try to manipulate you into marrying them. But you would be foolish to even try that. In fact, Telemachus wouldn’t allow that at all.
You retract your shaking hand from your son’s face slowly, almost disappointed in his response. “You look so much like your father.” You tried to joke, but your son could still see the pain lingering on your face.
“My father.. he will be back, mother. So don’t loose hope.” He grabbed ahold of your knuckles and gave them a soft kiss.
“I’m getting old, sweetheart. It won’t be much long until I’m buried under ground.”
Telemachus slightly gasped at your statement. “Don’t say that. Your dead body won’t be the last thing father will come home to.” He gripped your hands. “Besides, from the stories you’ve told me of him, I know he’s trying his best to get back to you, too, mom.”
You stayed quiet at this. Wanting to believe his words. Wanting his words to fill you up with joy. To give you hope, but.. you weren’t feeling any of them. Instead, you felt betrayed, you felt weak, you felt heartbroken. You wondered if there was a point in waiting for this man. If there was even a reason to have hope. Besides, his face is slowly becoming just a distant memory. A fog that drifts by every once in a while. You’re afraid you’re starting to forget what he looks like. Your son is the only resemblance you have of him as the suitors had ruthlessly destroyed any evidence of your husband outside your bedroom.
But at your son’s words, you wondered: “what if he’s already.. dead?”
Telemachus could not believed the words that came out your mouth. He was about to speak, but choked on the sobs that escaped his throat. “He’s.. He’s not dead, mom.” He stuttered out. He hiccuped. “I know it’s been past a decade since his return… but I still don’t doubt that he wouldn’t make it back home.” You wiped the falling tears from his face.
“You’re right, sweetheart.” You have a tight-lipped smile. “I don’t doubt it one bit.”
——————————
Odysseus, after years being away from his kingdom, had finally made it back him. His body held scars that told story of his adventures across the world whilst trying to make it back home to his son and wife.
Odysseus had never felt relieved to be the place that brought him comfort. A place that reminded him of his true self. A place.. that held his family. He roamed around the place, gaze falling on objects and broken vases that laid on the wooden ground. He wondered what had happened. He notices a few new and old maid scurrying around the palace trying to get the place fixed in a frenzy. His eyes then spot an older man that was just a few feet away from him, and yet. He recognized him.
“Telemachus.” He muttered, and the man in the distance heard him. Whoever he was talking to, he excused himself from the conversation and moved his way to Odysseus.
“MayI help you? Are you also hurt? Here, I can grab you spare clothing. I’ll have my doctors help you if needed.” Odysseus was speechless. He was confused, yet nodded his head as if he understood what was going on. “On behalf of my father, mother and this kingdom, I apologize for the destructiveness those men have cost. If there’s anything I can do for you, just let me know.” He bowed a bit before turning away to walk off, but Odysseus didn’t allow that. He grabbed his arm, preventing him from leaving. Telemachus was flabbergasted.
“I need to ask you a question.” He slurred out. Telemachus, although bewildered, allowed the man to speak. “You’re Telemachus.. My son,” the man in questioned paused at that. “I’m.. your father.” Odysseus broke into silent tears. “I’ve been trying to make it home to you and your mother for about forty–forty-three years. It’s been.. so long.” The man stared into his son’s eyes. “I’m your father, son. Do you.. believe me?” Odysseus awaited an answer. He grew nervous at the lack of response from the boy before him.
“Father..” Telemachus finally spoke. “The bed in your room needs to be removed. I’m sorry for asking this all of a sudden, especially after your long journey, but I’d like the remove the–“
“No.” Telemachus was taken aback at the sudden cut-off. “No kne will be rearranging that room. Besides, the wood I used to make that bed is carved into the palace. It’s impossible to remove.” Before giving the chance to further explain himself, Telemachus went in for a hug, not giving the man a second to react.
“You really are my father, aren’t you?” There was something in his mind that held doubt that the man before him wasn’t his father. He wanted to believe that Odysseus was his father and was ecstatic that he was right. “Mom told me to question any man who claimed to be my father about the bed before anything else.”
Odysseus smiled at this. “Where is your mother? I would like to speak to her. It’s been… so long.” He waited for his son’s response, but nothing came. He recognized the sound of silence. Something he had gotten used to after the death of his crew, but it was something he was not a fan of. “Telemachus.. where is your mother?”
Telemachus tried his best to hold in his tears, but spilled out at just the mention of you. “She.. She died. Yesterday morning.” His voice was shaky as he answered. “She.. really held on for you, father. She was really trying her best to keep her faith in you.. and now,” he stifled down his cries. “Her last wish was for you to make it home alive. To know that you’d come home to me and this home.” He couldn’t hold in his tears any longer as he had let it all out. “Once those suitors heard about what happened, the damaged this place as best as they could as revenge and had some of our servants killed. It was only so much k could do, father and I know if mom was alive, she would’ve known what to do.” He explained. “We had just buried her this morning. We weren’t able to have a proper funeral for her.” He wiped away his tears. “If you would like to see her, I can take you to her.”
—————
Eyes bore on the the stone grave that had your name labeled on it. Odysseus didn’t want to believe it, but he knew it was true. You were dead. Really dead. You weren’t happily smiling at him like you used to, you weren’t there to greet him like you always would. In fact, you weren’t even there. You were dead. And he didn’t want to believe that, but he had to, because it was true.
He placed his hands on your tombstone. “Y/N.” He whispered. “My love. My angel. My darling. My life.” He paused to catch himself. “I apologize I came so late to see you. I know this isn’t how you wanted to be seen, and I know I don’t want you to see me like this,” he sighed before letting out a sob. “There was so much I wanted to do with you. Y/N… I wouldn’t be able to hear you respond to your name anymore.” He choked. “When I arrived, I’ve always wondered if you were to.. fall in love with me again.. knowing everything I’ve done to get back to you and Telemachus. I’ve killed, sacrificed my crew, I had many bloodshed just to make it back home. Though, this is not what I wanted to come home to.” He sniffed. “Although you’re gone, I at least hope you’re at rest.” He kissed the top of your tombstone. “I love you and always will.”

Yay!!! The Ithaca saga is out!!! Woop woop!! I originally had this in my drafts since the wisdom saga but I had no idea on how to finish it, but here we are with the finish product!! Also, only first part was really edited, the rest of the parts was just looked over.
Anyways, I hoped you cried like I cried while writing the end of the story. Thank you so much for reading!!!
Telemachus had been spending most of his time with his father now that he's home. It doesn't make you jealous at all. Nope. It definitely doesn't.
Comments and reblogs are appreciated 🫶🏾
Probably not edited. Actually, not edited at all. Not even looked over 😭😭
You had scheduled the day for you and your lover to spend your times together.
You didn't want to be that person. You really didn't. But Telemachus had really been spending a lot of time with his father. It was something you were previously happy about; glad that king of Ithaca was able to make it home safely to see his wife and son . To even meet his son's future bride, you. But what you didn't calculate was how long Telemachus and Odysseus would be spending their time. Of course, it had been twenty years since the father and son had seen each other, and selfishly, you wanted to spend your time with your soon to be husband.
Your eyes popped opened at the sudden light peaking in through the window. You blinked harshly to release yourself from the tiredness that submerged from your body.
"Good morning, my beloved," you yawned out to the man beside you. Only to notice that the space next to your body was empty and was rather cold. You concluded he hadn't been to bed for a long time.
You frowned at this.
With a last minute stretch, you removed yourself from your comfort and proceeded to get ready for the day.
"Have you seen Telemachus?" You questioned one of the maids that was cleaning outside your room with a soft smile.
The maid answered. "Oh, prince Telemachus? I've just seen him and your highness near the woods. King Odysseus told everyone to leave them be and that was over two hours ago. I've no idea where they could be at the moment." The young adult bowed her head as she truthfully answered. You hid away your saddened face from the adult to prevent rumors flying around.
"Thank you for letting me know. Continue on with your duties."
"Yes, ma'am."
You huffed and moved your way to where your fiancé and his father was last seen.
Your eyes moved around the area and caught glimpse of the two males who were sitting down, almost as if they were taking a break from their heavy activity. You stood still as you watched their lips moved, conversing with each other like they’ve known each other for years. Your heart skipped a beat. You decided to leave them be and enjoy the rest of the day by yourself or with Queen Penelope if needed.

After an eventful day with his father, Telemachus made a slight hop to his room with a smile. You noticed the door to your bedroom and watched as Telemachus’ smiling face lit up even more.
“My love,” your fiancé started. He made his way towards you and gave you a peck on the forehead. “How was your day? I haven’t seen you all day.”
“I’m glad you noticed,” you mumbled, a hint of sass in your tone. Your back was toward him, so he couldn’t see your distasteful expression. He stayed quiet, quickly realizing something was wrong.
“Are you okay, love? Is something the matter?” A placed a hand on your back and swayed your response.
“There’s nothing wrong at all.. I’m just.. never mind.” You moved yourself from him and went onto your shared bed. “I’m just tired.”
“Really?” He didn’t believed you one bit. He made his way towards you and sat next to you on the bed. “What’s the matter, my love?”
You remained quiet for awhile, quite embarrassed to even voice your thoughts. But you decided to speak anyways.
“I’m just.. I was just really excited for us to spend our time together today.. but.. you spend it with your dad instead. Not that I’m mad or anything, I just really wanted to spend our time together.” Telemachus remained quiet as he listened. “Ever since your dad came back from his journey, you’ve been with him ever since, which I understand… ugh.. never mind. I’m just selfish.”
Telemachus only let out a low chuckle. He wrapped his arm around your shoulder a give another kiss on your forehead. “I understand where you’re coming from. I guess it’s on me to spend my time equally between my father and soon-to-be wife. I do apologize for my negligence or if you’ve ever felt neglected. I guess.. I’m just really excited my father is back.” He kissed you on the lips. “I’ll make it up for you tomorrow. How about it? I promise my father will be out of the picture until I know you’re not sad about it anymore.”
“That’s not..” You were unsure of his decision to spend more time with you, but you knew you should be happy. He was your soon-to-be husband. Why should you feel bad if he wants to spend more time with you than his father? You sighed. “We’ll see what tomorrow takes us.” You grabbed his face and gave him a tiny peck on the lips. “I’m a bit tired.”
“Okay..” He smiled at you.
You both decided then to leave the problem for tomorrow.
——————
You woke up again the space beside you being empty. You sighed. You decided then this would probably be your life in the future. Waking up to an empty bed and longing for your husband to come to your side. This almost… sounds familiar doesn’t it?
Your let out a stretch and quickly hit up from the bed. You exited out of the room and was met with King Odysseus. You stopped in your tracks and gave the king a bow.
“Good morning, your highness.”
“Y/N,” Odysseus greeted back. A stiff smile on your face. “It seems we never got to truly converse with each other.”
“It looks like we haven’t.” You closed the door to your bedroom as you answered him.
“Walk with me? My wife and son are waiting on us.” You nodded and walked with him.
You both talked about variety of things like your husband, his wife, the kingdom and many other things. By the time you were done, you both had already reached the dining area where Telemachus and Penelope were waiting. Before going to your seat, Odysseus grabbed you by your shoulders. “You’re a wonderful woman. I’m truly glad to see Telemachus had found you.” You smiled at this, your face flushed at the compliment.
“I’m glad to had met him.”
With that, you both had made your way to your seats, you being next to Telemachus and Odysseus next to his wife.
The breakfast was nice as you four had small talks about the kingdom and life, and to your and Telemachus’ dismay, future grandchildren.
Though, after breakfast, Telemachus took your hands and dragged you to the gardens where it was heavily decorated. Your eyes widen at this, but you remained quiet.
“Today will just be for us. Only us, no one else.” He placed your hands on his chest and gave it a tight squeeze. “I promise to always spend my time with you. If I’m not able to do so now, how am I to do so when we’re married?” He kissed your knuckles. “Let this be the day of my promise to always be there for you and with you.” You smiled and nodded at his statement. You suppose you should be selfish for once and have Telemachus for yourself. After all, he’s your fiancé.

A tired sigh exited from your lips as you got of your car. You made your way to the front door and unlocked it with one of the spare keys you have; Satoru had the other one.
“Honey, I’m home.” You called out, only to be met with a disastrous sight. The house was in shambles! Clothes all over the ground, water splashed all over the place and somehow bike marks were met on the floor. You groaned and held your hand in the palm of your hands. “SATORU GOJO!!” You called, and immediately heard the shuffling of feet’s making their way down the stairs.
Yes. Of course it’s Satoru and his two sidekick: Suguru and Shoko.
“Uh, oh,”
Laughs.
“Don’t ‘uh oh’ me. What is this? Why is the house so dirty?”
“Don’t be mad, but-“
“I’m super mad.”
Laughs.
“Reasonable.” Satoru nodded his head with understanding. “But we were going to clean the house and you came home to soon.”
“Why was the house dirty in the first place? It was cleaned when I left to work and the house is always clean when I come back.” You frowned, trying to prevent yourself from your raising your voice in front of his friends. Even in this moment, you didn’t want to embarrass him.
“She’s seems really angry, Satoru.” Suguru muttered in his ears.
Gojo only gave a cocky smile. “Don’t worry. I got this.” Suguru moved away from his friend and watched as Satoru tried to place his hand around his wife’s waist. “Babe-“
“Don’t call me that.”
Laughs.
“I’ll clean the house—we’ll clean the house for you.”
“Not me. I have work in the morning.” Shook quickly spoke. Her eyes boring anywhere else but at the couple’s feud.
Laughs.
“Oh, yeah. You needed a ride home.” Satoru gave a wide smile to his wife. “Would you be a sweetheart and drop Shoko home?”
If you weren’t already exploding from angry, you’d think it’d be about time you do so.
“Satoru, I just came from—I just can from work. And you want me to go back out again? What have you been doing all day except being an annoyance?”
Satoru eyebrows furrowed. He was taken aback by your harsh words. He was about to reply when you cut him off.
“Know what, nevermind. I’ll drop your friend home. When I come back, this place better be clean.” You motioned for the quiet woman to follow you out the house. She hesitantly did so and decided it was best to sit in the back seat of the car instead of next to you. You started your car and begin driving. “I just can’t believe Satoru would just.. ugh. How do you deal with him?”
Shoko stayed silent for a moment, unsure if you were trying to converse with her. But she replied. “I guess because we were best friends since childhood, so I’m kinda use to his antics.” She waited for your response. She wondered if her statement upset you in a way.
“Am I going the right way?” You glanced through the rear view mirror, unintentionally ignoring the woman in the back of your car.
“Uh.. yeah.”
She continued to direct you through the corners and streets of the road and finally you had reached her home.
“Thank you.” She muttered. You gave her a small smile.
“I’m sorry you had to witness me like that. Satoru just… I’m tired. I was probably just taking my frustrations out on him.”
Shoko shook her head. “No. No need to apologize. I’d be frustrated too. It’s a good thing he’s only a friend and not my lover.” She got of the car and waved at you. Thank you for the ride.”
“You’re welcome. And hey, maybe one day we can hangout? It’s be nice to have a girl friend.”
Shoko stopped in her space. Her mind was racing at the question you asked. It was simple, but it had herself questioning it. Would Satoru even be okay with that? She found herself thinking. Which.. made her felt weird.
“I’ll… think about it.” She waved you off and made herself into her house.
You watched with a grim look and let out a sigh. After making sure Shoko had safely entered her house, you drove off.
And when you went home, the house was barely clean.

"Satoru!" You jolted yourself up from your bed and quickly glanced around the room. The space beside you was empty, leaving you to wonder where your husband could have gone. You picked up the phone form your dresser and stared at the time, realizing that you were definitely late for work. "Oh my goodness," you paced yourself out of your bed and went straight into your bathroom to get a quick shower. Afterwards, almost slipping on the ground from exiting out of the bathroom, you threw on your work clothes in a rush and went out of your bedroom to put on your shoes.
“Oh hey, honey. Where are you off to?”
“To work.” You rushed out. Merely focused on putting yourself together.
“Don’t you have work for 10? It’s currently 11.”
Laughs.
“Thanks for totally reminding, babe. It’s not like I set an alarm and was hoping for my loving husband to wake me up if my alarm fails to do so.” You gave the man a pained smile, which he only grinned to.
Laughs.
“Well, I would’ve, but I’m preparing for the activity Suguru, Shoko and I will be doing. Would you like to hear about it?”
“I would love to, but it isn’t like I’m not late for work. Maybe later.”
Laughs.
“Okay. Suit yourself.”
You rolled your eyes and exited out of your home with a grim look. You hurriedly made your way to your car and quickly entered it before starting your engine. You could only pray that today wouldn’t be as bad as this morning.
And just as you were about to drive off, a sudden tap on your car window brought you to a halt.
“I’m so sorry. You’re Gojo’s wife right? The neighbor’s wife?” You examined the lady that questioned you. “Would it be alright if you give me a ride to work please? My car isn’t working at the moment.” Her voice held rushness as she was, too, in a hurry.
It took you a while to answer as you weren’t sure how far her work place was, seeing as you were already late to work yourself. But you’d feel bad, seeing as you live next to this lady and knowing that you’d be the reason she’s late for work, will most likely haunt you.
“Sure,” you respond in a quiet tone. You unlocked your door and the woman entered in with a big smile.
“Thank you, thank you!” Before giving the chance to put on the seatbelt, you drove off, trying to reach your neighbor’s location before going to yours.
The car was silent. The only noise being heard was the tires rolling against the bumpy road as you rush to drop off your neighbor.
“You can turn left..” your neighbor awkwardly spoke.
You did so and furrowed your eyebrows at the recognizable street.
“You work at crown jewelry?” You glanced at her, waiting for her to answer.
“Um.. yes. I just started today. But unfortunately my car hadn’t been working for a week. My friend who was supposed to drop me, had other plans in a sudden.”
“Oh really?” You stopped at a red light. “Let’s hope the boss won’t fire you on your first day. She’s a little harsh, but I’ll talk to her for you.”
The woman’s eyes widen. “Really? Thank you. I really need this job.”
“Of course,” you smiled. “What’s your name?” The light had finally turned green, allowing you to continue your driving to work.
“My name is Utahime Iori. What about you?”
“Y/N Gojo.” You respond with a stiff smile, not feeling much emotion at the sound of your own name.
“Well, I’m really grateful that you were willing to drop me, Ms. Gojo.”
You both had finally reached the location of your work. You stopped the car and unbuckled your seatbelt. Utahime followed awkwardly and waited til you excited out of the car to do do.
“Go enter. I’ll let the boss know as to why you’re late.”
“She won’t punish you or anything, will she?”
“I’m the manager. It’s the least she could do.” You smiled at her and her eyes widen at the information. She tittered incoherent words before rushing inside the building. Your smile faltered and you let out a sigh. If I’m late one more time, I think that’s it for me.”
Okay here me out… when ody returns and is being made fun of by the suitors while still in this bigger disguise yn starts fighting off the suitors and yelling at them for being rude and maybe joins ody while be is hunting them down and Telemachus has a love sick look like while watching yn just like ody did before marry Penelope and after seeing how cool and awesome of a warrior yn is ody turns to his son and says “I aprove of this one 😏” and poor Telemachus is just like 😳
@animequeen4 was this okay? 😩😩 I went a bit overboard.
Y/N is female!! (I will probably change it to gender neutral, but I'm just used to writing female readers. Sorry 😩) also, not edited.
Y/N's eyebrows furrowed with irritation as she angrily watched the bold suitors spoke harshly of their king, Odysseus. Her ears twitched with every negative thoughts that dripped through their dry lips in order to taunt the queen, Penelope.
Penelope had just finished announcing a challenge she wanted the suitors to complete in order to win the place of her husband's throne and crown. And now, Y/N watched with tilted eyebrows as her queen somberly exited out of the room where the suitors were in. Y/N knew how much it pained Penelope to do what she did and she wanted nothing more than to comfort her, but she knew the only person who can do so was her husband, Odysseus.
Y/N began arguing. "You people are despicable. How dare you force the queen into such a predicament? You really believe she will marry any of you with attitudes of dogs and looks of pigs." The guard scolded, eyes boring deep into every suitors. Antinous, the wretched suitor that's been the main caused of Penelope's depression, walked up to the woman with a wild smile on his face. He wasn't threatened at all by what the adult had said to him. In fact, he found it amusing.
"If that wimp's mother won't find a king to adorn her, then why are you being so defensive? We're only trying to help her."
"You must be stupid to believe that King Odysseus won't be back for his crown. Whoever believed he's dead should get their brains checked."
Antinous gave a tight glare before smiling once again. "We should see. It has already been twenty years. I doubt your king will be back." He laughed and exited from her view.
The young adult scowled and made her way out of the throne room. She moved herself down the hall and had found Prince Telemachus, the son of both King Odysseus and Queen Penelope, staring up at a painting of his father.
Telemachus was also a good friend of Y/N's. They had met about two years ago when Penelope was searching for personal guard of her own. Back then, Y/N had heard many stories of King Odysseus and his ten year war with Troy. She had grown to be inspired by him and to hope one day meet him. When she heard that she had gotten the job to be the Queen's personal guard, she decided then it was her duty to watch over Penelope until her true hero comes along. Being Penelope's personal guard, she was happily able to meet her son who she had grown close and attached with.
"Y/N.." Telemachus eyes moved away from the painting and met hers as she made her way towards him.
"Those suitors are dead. They are so dead! Ohhh! When I get my hands on them.."
Telemachus soft voice rang though his friend's ears as he spoke. "You can't let them get to you, Y/N."
"And here they are getting to your mother," She growled and Telemachus was taken back by it. He remained quiet though. He knew she didn't mean it in such a way to hurt his feelings. He was just surprised by the sharp tune of her voice. "I'm-I'm sorry, Telemachus. I don't think I'm worthy to be your mother's guard any longer. I-I could barely do anything to get this suitors out of this castle, let alone be with your mother and keep her safe." The man listened silently to his friend's complaints. "When King Odysseus is back, I think it's best I resign. I don't think I'm worthy of being Queen Penelope's guard. Only her husband is worthy."
"Don't say that, Y/N." Telemachus voice broke through the air. "You've been keeping my mother and I safe just fine. Although.. I don't know much of my dad, I'm sure he would agree that you're best here than anywhere else. Even my mother would agree." The man placed a hand on Y/N's shoulder. He then stared into her eyes as he hesitantly moved his hand to her cheeks. "As your Prince, I beg that you don't leave." The young woman slowly nodded her head in agreement. She stayed silent and leaned into his warm palm. Her eyes began to close in comfort.
Telemachus cheeks painted a color of red at the action. Although he and Y/N were close, it was something he wasn't used to. Holding hands (you dragging him somewhere), hugging (keeping him close to prevent the suitors from bothering him), hanging out (really, you guys do hangout, but it's also to prevent the suitors from bothering him) were something you two do all the time. He knew it was normal as friends, but his heart would tell him otherwise. Letting him know by pumping itself faster whenever he's near Y/N. He was starting to believe that he was in love with her. Wass he?
That's when a loud grunt interrupted his thoughts. Y/N eyes snapped open and locked itself in the distance. She stayed silent for a moment and waited for any other proof of noise.
And there it was again. That loud groan. The guard unsheathed her sword and stood protectively in front of the prince
"Y/N, be careful." Telemachus spoke. The woman only nodded her head and moved herself closer to where the noise came from. Telemachus followed behind, also keeping himself on guard. As they got closer, his eyes caught sight of a man who sat near a pillar. The man, not to be rude, looked rather tired, dirty and rough. Almost as if he's been traveling for years and this is his first time taking a break.
Y/N pointed her sword at him with glare. "You're definitely too old to be a suitor. Who are you and how did you get in the palace?" The man remained silent. He barely acknowledged her as his attention was moreso focused on the man behind her. Y/N frowned at this. "Prince Telemachus, do you know him? He seems to be looking at you like he does."
"I-I.. I.. don't think so." The prince stared into the man's eyes, a thought forming into his head. "Wait.. this can't be." He was hesitant to speak his mind. He moved himself from behind his protector and stepped closer to the suspicious male. "The paintings.. no.. it can't be." He crouched down to be the same level as the man, "F-Father?" Y/N's eyes widen at this, but remained silent as she decided to trust the prince's better judgement.
The man eyes crinkled a bit as he showed off his wide smile. Tears rolled from his eyes as he greeted the young adult before him. "My son, I'm finally home." Y/N mouth dropped at the statement. If those words that came out of this man's mouth was true, then that must means...
"K-King Odysseus," the guard was quick to drop to her knees in a bow. "It is an honor to finally meet you, my king. I am so happy to see you're home safe and sound." The man stayed silent as he stared at you. He stood up from his crouching position and made his way toward the woman.
"Father. This is Y/N. She has been nothing but helpful to both Mom and I. She's been really brave in keeping those suitors away from Mom. Something I shamelessly couldn't do." Telemachus spoke up from behind as he nervously awaited what his father, the king, would do to his friend.
Odysseus eyes stilled on the woman. "Raise your head." The guard did as told and awaited the king's instructions. "You and I are going to slaughter those men. We leave no one alive. Ithaca will be placed back into my hands." His voice held authority as he instructed the woman before him. Y/N fixed herself in a stance and give the king a wide smile.
"Anything for you, King Odysseus."
What had been seen as deadly was just an entertainment for Y/N and Odysseus.
The woman watched as the king slayed the last suitor, Antinous, by slicing of his head. The castle was now decorated in the blood of his enemies. It was something Y/N never thought she'd like.
"I can't believe it's finally over." Telemachus found his way over to you with solemn look. His eyes drifted over to his dad's, but he soon glanced away. He just met his dead after twenty years, and this was the first impression he gotten of him. He knew his dad was crazy scary, but not this scary.
"Y/N! What's going on out there? Is everything al-" Queen Penelope's voice echoed through the hall before finally making her way into the room where quarter of the suitors's dead body was in. She wasn't fazed by that, but moreso by the fact that there was one man left standing. A man who looked oddly familiar to her.
"You won't believe this, my queen, but-" Y/N glanced over at the king and watched as he avoided eye contact with his wife. She frowned. It seems that he was bit uncomfortable after being away from for so long. "What would you say if King Odysseus were to make it home alive and well? Would you be ecstatic? Joyous? Sad?"
"What's with the questions, Y/N?"
The woman cleared her throat. "Your highness.. he's here." Penelope looked back toward the quiet man and stared at him unsure. She walked up to him and grabbed a hold of his hand before dragging him somewhere where they both can be alone.
Telemachus held onto your hands as he released a sigh. "I felt like I've been holding in my breath for years and now I can finally breath."
"That's good. I wouldn't want you to die."
Hours have passed and Odysseus was now able to rest comfortable in his house. A few guards, including Y/N, were called to clean up the dead bodies that were thrown around the castles. Odysseus was left to rest and Telemachus was left to wonder. The young adult made his way to his dad and sat beside him. Not too close, but close enough to let him that's he's comfortable with his dad, but would rather give him space. The man cleared his throat to speak but the older adult spoke up before he could.
"That guard... Y/N, was it?" Telemachus only nodded his head, unsure where his father was going with this. "I approve of her. She'd make a lovely wife for you." The king's sing could only sputter out incoherent words at his father's statement. His face was like a burning torch.
"I-It's not like that." Telemachus was quick to say.
"If it were like that, then I would approve." Odysseus continued to egg on with a smile, leaving Telemachus's face to become redder and redder by the second.
Plzzzzzzzzzz I would continue this but I'm hecka tired. It's like 2am lol. I hope you enjoyed 😩😩

To any Nanami writers out there I have a prompt for you guys
Imagine reader (or oc) is Haibara's sister and after his death, Nanami would come over every now and then to check up on you. During the time that passed you eventually ended up growing feelings for him but they were never revealed to him because after you guys grew to be adults and started your careers, you didn't have time to meet up.
One day nanami, tired after work, decides to treat himself to a nice dinner. There was a small restaurant near his work that his coworkers would always recommend so he decided to check it out.
The restaurant is actually reader's. She always loved cooking and after her brother's death she made the restaurant in his memory.
Basically it would be Nanami visiting every now and then (like when they were younger) and this time they both have time to develop feelings for eachother and actually get together. (or do they?? cough shibuya cough)
Anyways do what you will with this and if you decide to use this prompt plspls tag me in it I wanna read abt this so bad

Telemachus never felt so discouraged before. With all those suitors knocking themselves aggressively to get to his mother's heart, Telemachus knew he should protect her like his father would've, but he knew he can't. His mother was so strong-willed, always explaining to him that he doesn't have to worry, as his father is the only one who has her heart, but that doesn't stop the fact that he has to witness about sixty (immature, might he add) men ravaging on who's going to take the throne and the heart of the woman who is betrothed to his beloved father.
He glared at the heavily painted blue sky above him. He was getting impatient, to say the least. And it's worst when he didn't had anyone to express his frustrations to. He knew his mom wouldn't mind listening to him as she had done many years ago, but as he grew older, he learned to recognize the pain his mother also felt of waiting for his father; her husband. He would feel horrible expressing his decades worth of questions to her.
At the sudden sound, his eyes moved the bush beside him at the noise of rustling. Although there was nothing he could do, he stood in a fight stance and waited for the intruder to reveal themselves.
"Whoa. That bush has me itching." Telemachus slowly lowered his guard as he watched the newcomer made their way to him. "And you're sitting alone. Are you okay?"
The young adult eyes widen in confusion. He eyed the individual up and down and spoke. "Who are you?"
"Oh, right. I should've introduced myself first." You smiled. "I'm Y/N. You don't know me, but I definitely know you." Your voice goes higher with excitement as you spoke. Telemachus watched in amusement. "Your Telemachus, prince of Ithaca and you father has been in war with troy for about—well, a decade! There are rumors going around that he and his crew are dead. Some believe that they are in hidden. Personally, I believe that— oh. Sorry." You quickly stopped yourself as you noticed the saddened look in the male's eyes.
"My father.. yes." The adult's eyes were downcast at the mention of his father. "Oh, how I wonder where he truly is. It's been twenty years, and yet, the only thing I know of him are his stories and tales."
You smile faltered a bit. "From the stories I've heard, he sounds like a wonderful warrior."
"He truly is. I want to be just like him." He frowned. "I have to be like him. I have to fight off those suitors that are trying to get to my mom."
"Penelope? Queen of Ithaca?" Your eyes widen in excitement at this. "My mom have told me many things of her. I want to be just like her when I'm a bit older."
Telemachus eyed you. "How old are you?"
"I'm nineteen. I'm about to be twenty in just a month." The adult smiled at this.
"You're the first person I've met to be the same age as me. It's refreshing."
"You don't have friends?" You concluded and the man stiffened at this (he was quite embarrassed).
Telemachus stayed quiet for while and began to frown. "Sadly. It's hard making some when you're a legend's son. Many assume that I'm high and mighty and some just truly despise me for being the son of a man who is a king. If I'm lucky, it's both."
You rolled your eyes at his statement. Not because of what he said, but because of the people he spoke about. It was really giving jealousy.
"I would love to be your friend, Telemachus. I've been wanting to have one for a while and you seems to be the perfect fit." You gave him a pat on the back. "What do you say, Telemachus, prince of Ithaca?"
He truly smiled at this. "I'd only agree if you just call me Telemachus. Nothing else. Just Telemachus." He looked at you with happiness in his eyes.
Despite the things going on in his life, making a friend was something he needed to keep the darkness from swallowing him whole. Despite the suitors harassing his family, despite the constant reminding of his dad's lack of presence in the kingdom and despite the lack ability to protect his mother, maybe this one new thing, this one friend, can help him through all of this pain he kept bottled up inside.
"Alright, Telemachus. Let this be a start of a new adventure for us."

"Honey, Honey. We've got new neighbors." Satoru shook his wife shoulders rather harshly. His blue eyes were lit up like a child on Christmas day. He was rather excited to say the least.
You groaned at the information. "Oh, goodie. New headaches to deal with." You tried to ignore the harsh tug on your shoulders from your husband.
Laughs.
Your husband gasped. "Are you implying that I'm one of your headaches?"
You shrugged. "I didn't say it."
Laughs.
"Well, I think we should maybe greet the new neighbors."
You furrowed your eyebrows. "Since when do you do 'greeting neighbors'?"
"We gotta make sure what we're getting into, you know?"
You sat up from your bed, folded your arms and stared at your husband in confusion. "Last time we had new neighbors, you tried to show them who was the 'alpha of the neighborhood'."
Satoru only chuckled. "And? So what?"
"Well, you obviously won. Seeing as we're having new neighbors for the fourteenth time."
Laughs.
"I only did that because that creep was looking at my wife's wonderful butt. Was I supposed to just stand there and watch?" Your husband genuinely questioned and you gave him a look of displeasure.
"Better than sending him to the hospital and possibly giving him amnesia."
Laughs.
"Well, that's all behind us now. Let's get out of bed and go greet the new neighbors." You eyed your husband's outstretched hand before reaching out to grab them. He generously helped you out of bed and waited for you to ready yourself for the day. "I'll be waiting downstairs for you." You watched silently as your husband exited the bedroom with a wide smile.
You moved your head around the room to find any decent clothing to greet the new neighbors in. You had no high hopes that they'd stay. All the neighbors who moved next door to the two of you never stayed for at least a year. They're always leaving within six months, if not, four months and you wondered if it was because of your husband's annoying tendencies. Or maybe is jealous ones.
Or possessive ones.
You frowned and tried to clear your mind from the past. You grabbed the last piece of clothing you found on your bedroom floor, which was a skirt, and threw it on yourself. You weren't thrill in meeting your neighbors, that's for sure.

"I'm surprised it's a women this time."
"Really. We've never had female neighbors before."
"Who are you talking to, honey?" You froze in you steps and eyed the second individual in you and your husband's living room. You faked a smile. "Oh. Geto. You're, um, sadly here."
Laughs.
"As soon as Satoru called me to tell me the surprising news, I had to rush over here as soon as I can."
"What news? That we have neighbors? It's almost as if you don't have one yourself, Geto."
Laughs.
Geto only chuckled at this. "No need for sarcasm, Y/N. Your gullible husband is just surprised that your neighbor is a women. You've had had only male neighbors for most of you guys' life since living here, right."
"I mean, yeah." You shrugged. "But so? What's the difference? Is it because she's a woman? You're not gonna try do anything weird, right?"
Laughs.
"How little fate you have in us, Y/N." Your husband tutted. "That just means there's no need to run her away. All the male neighbors we had were perverts or weirdos. She may just be an exception."
"You think just because she's a woman, she won't do anything weird?"
Geto rolled his eyes. "Are you with her or against her, Y/N? I can't quite tell."
Laughs.
"I'm on no one's si— You know what, can we just greet the neighbors already? And stop talking about who's side I'm on?"
"Oh, Suguru and I already did."
You cranked your neck to your husband's direction. "What?"
"I called Suguru before letting you know of the good news and then when I left you to get ready, Suguru had already came and insisted that we meet the new neighbors. Which, in fact, is not neighbors, but neighbor because she lives alone."
"Okay, first of all, it's creepy that you know that,"
Laughs.
"And second of all, really? You woke me up so we can do this-this this thing together, yet, you did this with someone else. With Suguru of all people."
"Hey.."
Laughs.
"That's not really fair, Satoru."
Your husband glanced at his friend for a second before standing up from his seat. He made his way toward you with a noticeable frown. "Oh, come on, baby. You're sad about this? It's not that big of a deal." He wrapped his arms around your shoulders in a tight hug. "If it really bothers you, how about I make it up to you, hm? What do you say?"
"Last time you said that, we had the watch your favorite movie three times in a row. You wouldn't even let me use the bathroom because you were afraid I would've missed the good parts."
Laughs.
"Okay, maybe it was that one time—"
"And that other time, you also—"
"Okay, I get it." He hushed you up with a simple kiss on the lips. "Whatever you want. And that's a promise. Okay?"
You nodded your head. "I'll remember."
He kissed your lips once more. "Great." He then released his arms from your body. "Now can you make us some breakfast? Meeting the neighbor really gave us an appetite."
You frowned, but switched into a smile before your husband noticed. "Of course."

"Oh, honey! I'm home!" Gojo busted through the front door with a wide smile, teeth shining through his lips with open arms.
"Oh, goody. I just finished lunch." You greeted as you made your way out of the kitchen. Your eyes caught sight of the three other individual loosely following behind the adult. You squinted your eyes in annoyance. "And you've also brought the troublemakers."
Laughs.
"Ah, yes. Megumi, Itadori and Kugisaki will be with us for just a little while longer."
"That's too bad. I've only made enough sandwiches for the both of us—"
"Then you can make more."
Laughs.
You clenched you mouth in irritation before speaking to the kids. "So how was school?" You motioned for them to sit down on the couch, though , only Kugisaki took a seat while Megumi and Itadori remained standing.
Itadori spoke up. "It was awesome! I was able to fight off a curse spirit that was bothering Kugisaki." He replicated the moves he did earlier the day in his mission. "You might just put me as special grade."
Laughs.
"Yep," you gave the boy a fake smile and muttered to yourself. "Definitely special grade alright."
Laughs.
Kugisaki spoke next. "Anyways, my day was great. We went shopping an—"
"YOU went shopping." Megumi and Itadori spoke simultaneously, leaving the young teen quiet for a moment.
Laughs.
"I went shopping," she rolled her eyes at the males.
Laughs.
You grinned. "Oh, really? What did you get?"
"As an award for completing my mission with perfect scores, Gojo-Sensei allowed me to get any three items and you know I had to buy the new jewelery everyone's been raving about."
Your eyes widen at this. You eyed the swinging bracelet that was placed perfectly on the teenager's hand. If your eyes could get any bigger, it would. You gasped. "You mean the KATY collection?! It's been my dream to get one—"
"Gojo-Sensei allowed you to get something? That's no fair, Gojo-Sensei." Itadori unintentionally interrupted.
The adult only laughed. "I had other things in mind for you two, Itadori." He straightened the glasses that moved slightly away from his face. "But if the shopping spree is what you insist on, then I guess we should leave now?"
"Yay! New hoodies!"
"Yes! New make-up!"
"This isn't for you, Kugisaki."
Laughs.
"Wait, you guys are leaving now? I know I said I only had enough sandwiches for two, but I can make more." You eyebrows came together as you watched the students and your husband slowly shuffled out of the house.
"I'll be back, my honeybun." Gojo blew a kiss at you which you lazily caught and kept it close to your chest.
"Bye, Mrs. Gojo! Thanks for having us!" Itadori shouted from outside and Nobara followed afterwards.
"See you soon, Mrs. Gojo!"
You stood idle in your living room, watching as they left your house. Though, Megumi stayed a bit longer.
"Hope to see you guys soon, Megumi." You spoke, but deep down, you hoped they never stepped foot into your house again.
Megumi stayed silent for a moment. The honking from Gojo's car was the only sound ringing through you guys' eardrums. Yet, Megumi ignored it even though it was meant for him.
"I'm sorry about them, Mrs. Gojo." He finally spoke. Your eyes only held onto his as you softly smiled.
"No worries, Megumi. You're always apologizing for them. I'd like to hear a real one from them one of these days." You joked, and Megumi seemed to crack a smile at that.
He was about to leave the house when a thought came to him. "Oh, and my day was great. In case you were wondering." He then left the house. Leaving you alone with your thoughts.
The house became gloomy. It was empty. It felt empty. In fact, it has always been since the day you and Gojo moved here. You wondered why that was. Or at least, you didn't want to believe the false narrative you made in your head.
You clenched your fist together in a tight grip and made your way back to the kitchen. Lying on the kitchen counter were two fruit sandwiches made just for your husband. Hours of looking up ingredients and trying your best to perfect it for your lovely significant other went down the drain within in minutes. You let out a tired groan and proceeded to wrap up the lunch to save for later. After placing it in the refrigerator, you made your way to the living room and sat yourself down on the couch. Patiently waiting for your husband to get home.

This is more like a mini thought that I had. I'm planning on turning this into a series, but I'm not sure yet (I am sure, I just want to know if you guys wanted it). Thank you for reading.
Please don't come for me about the plot or accuracy of the story. This is fanfiction 😭.

The sight before him was a scene he had only dreamed of since the day he left for war. His eyes widen before being filled with happy tears. He was finally home. Finally home to his wife and son. Yet.. it seemed he was one of the few people on his crew to actually make it home to their families. After giving his wife the thousands of kisses he had silently promised himself on his trip to the seas, he glanced at the adult that stood just inches away from him and his family.
"Y/N.." He mumbled. His eyes seemed to be avoiding her's as his lips began to quiver.
"Odysseus. I'm so glad you're back." The woman gave him a smile. She then turned her head, looking around the survivors of the twelve year war for a certain someone. She frowned a bit. "Well, it looks like not everyone was able to make it." She threw on a small, but noticeable smile. "You should probably rest up, Odysseus. I know it's been such a long day for you." The woman bowed before wondering off from his sight.
Penelope, Odysseus' wife, sighed. "Let's go, Ody. Y/N needs a little bit of space." The man acknowledged his wife words and followed after her to their shared chambers.
———
It was late in the night when Odysseus had awoken from his slumber; his eyes moved around the darkness to adjust itself. He sat up from his bed, slowly moving his wife's arm from around his stomach that tightly held him down. He rest his feet on the ground and began making his way out of his room, his feet caring him down the halls and soon outside of the large castle.
He noticed his friend standing still as she stared absentmindedly in the distance.
"Y-Y/N?" He called out. The woman hadn't moved, let alone flinched, so Odysseus took it upon himself to stand next to her. "Y/N," he called again. This time, placing a hand on her stiff shoulders.
And this time, Y/N answered. "He didn't make it, did he?" She quietly spoke. Her eyes was in the distance, but her attention still seemed to be on him. Odysseus gulped. His mouth shook and his eyes began to water at the memories that began to float his mind.
"H-He was a brave warrior." He choked up. "His life was n-not taken in vein," He squeezed her shoulders in comfort.
"Twelve years. I waited twelve years for him and yet," Odysseus was quick to catch his friend's wife as she had almost threw herself to the ground. "He'd never come back to me!" She wailed. Her scream was hoarse and was loud enough to wake anyone with in a one mile distance. "I didn't want to believe it. When I first saw you and your crew arrived and hadn't seen him, I thought he would've already been home waiting to surprise me." She sniffed, snot lingering on her comforter's clothes. "But I was wrong. WHY DID I HAD TO BE WRONG!??"
All Odysseus could do was held her close to him and silently listened to Polites' wife's cries. And soon after, he cried himself.

I felt like I should've added more, but I wasn't too sure 😩 so I just ended it here.
