Vivid Sydney in Australia 2018 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

We were able to book some cheap flights to Australia. We want to spend a few days off work and to catch up with some old friends. When we arrived at the Sydney Airport, there were signs saying, “Sydney Vivid Festival 2018”. We were really stoked at that time. Who wouldn’t? We were in the right place at the right time. It was a yearly event, but I’ve never been to one before. The event normally takes place over the course of three weeks in May and June. Light projections transformed the whole city into huge pieces of art. Most buildings and famous landmarks like Opera House and Harbour Bridge were lit up. There were fireworks and street performers everywhere. The pubs were all packed with people partying. We had a few amazing nights and when the festival ended, we flew to Melbourne to catch up with more friends. Some of the places we visited include Brighton Bath Boxes, Shrine of Remembrance and Victoria Market.

Staycation in Ushuaia Argentina 2020 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

Staycation in Los Cauquenes Resort, Ushuaia. We needed this badly especially after passing through the Drake Passage on our way back to Ushuaia. Service and facilities are excellent. A hotel that has a perfect view.

Camping in Mongolia 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

Our most spontaneous trip so far. We just booked a flight to Mongolia when we were in HK during winter season. Our activities include staying in Nomadic Family Ger, Visiting Monasteries, Horseback Riding, and Dogsledding. Thanks to Mongolian Vision Tours for making our trip memorable.

Christmas in St. Petersburg Russia 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

My wife and I spent our Christmas in St. Petersburg as it is said to be one of the best places to spend Christmas. Walking along the streets at night, We saw the whole city lit up by Christmas lights and decors matching the baroque style architecture of the historical buildings, cathedrals, and palaces.

Road Trip in Namibia 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

We drove around Namibia for almost 5000km, and the places we visited include Sossusvlei Dunes, Spitzkoppe, Swakopmund,  Sandwich Harbour, Walvis Bay, Etosha National Park. Namibia is such a wonderful country, very underrated to Asian tourists. Easily one of my top 3 favorite countries due to its beautiful landscape and wonderful people. Helicopter Ride in Cape Town South Africa 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

Cape Town, RSA is one of our stops when we visited the African Continent. We stayed at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay 'highly recommended'. We have heard so much about Capetown and its majestic Table Mountain, Lion's Head, 12 Apostles, and surrounding beaches. We realized the best to view all of them is from above, so we book a ride from Capetown Helicopters. After the ride, we explored the wonderful city below. Undoubtedly, Capetown precedes its reputation of being a hub of creative art, and a melting pot of tasty food. Credits to Capetown Helicopters for the helicopter footage.

Hot Air Balloon in Turkey 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

The places that we visited in Turkey in this travel video are Istanbul, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Cappadocia, Gerome Open Air Museum and Kusadasi. With so much culture and numerous places to enjoy, there is no doubt that Turkey one of my favorite countries to come back to.

Macau is one of the most visited places in China aside from Hongkong. The fact that it has no visa restriction for most countries, makes Macau a hotstop for tourist who wants to gamble, relax and have some fun. It's touted as the Las Vegas of the East.

Hiking in Peru 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

One of our dream destinations is Machu Picchu, Peru. I had only seen it on photos and videos posted online until March last year when we decided to go. We booked the required flights just a week before our departure date and it was the best decision we ever made. Peru is more than just Machu Picchu, it has a lot of history and culture on top of its amazing landscape. We went straight to Cusco and did not bother to stay in Lima where Peru's International Airport is located. I must say that I immediately felt the difference in altitude as soon as we landed. We decided to acclimatize ourselves for a day or two before we proceed to any hiking activities. Cusco looks like an ancient city built on top of the mountains. It feels amazing and surreal just to be strolling around the city. After acclimatizing, we went to different hiking trips namely, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain and Laguna Humantay. The hikes are pretty easy except for Rainbow Mountain and Lake Humantay. I have to catch my breath a lot but it was really worth it. I know we only touched a small portion of Peru, we would definitely like to go back and visit Arequipa, Huacachina, Lake Titicaca, Millpu Lagoons, Gocta Waterfall, Choquequirao and Ausangate.

Layover in New York USA 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

We did a one-day layover in New York in March to check out some of the amazing spots in the city like the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal, and the Vessel.

All Inclusive Resort in Cancun Mexico 2019 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

After hiking in Peru, my wife and I decided to stop by Cancun Mexico before we go home. It's our first time staying in an All Inclusive Resort. We chose Dreams Sands Resort in Cancun.  Drinks (Beers, Wine, Cocktail) were overflowing. Unlimited food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Mexico reminds me of the Philippines due to its beautiful beaches and warm weather. It is the only country which has legitimate tacos.

Nature Tripping in Canada 2018 | JGY Studios Travel Vlog

We visited Canada in 2018. We stayed there for a little bit more than a week. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we couldn’t. It’s not hard to imagine why a lot of people chose to retire in Canada as it has beautiful mountains and lakes all around - definitely nature at its finest. During our trip, we only got to go to some great places in the BC Area such as Whistler, Quarry Rock, and Alouette Lake. We then flew to Toronto to attend a friend’s wedding. In Toronto, we got to visit the Niagra Falls Canada Side. Overall, It was such an amazing trip…will definitely be back!
