Life is such an intimidating construct. There are experiences no life can escape; the loss of a loved one is inevitable. We are meant to grieve, for death is woven into the very essence of life. Yet we are also meant to find safety in a partner, and to procreate. Meant to experience the depth of love and the joy of birth. It is almost as if we are merely the in-between, balancing both forces within ourselves, the mediator between these drastic poles of existence: the loss of love and the victorious return of it.
