too many people saying that a jay v chip ice arena might happen. shes 3 seconds away from killing herself and chip would rip his new heart out before throwing the first punch at jay.
So an ice arena fight between Jay and Chip has a 50/50 chance right? It would probably be a last resort/ straw thing but the tension between their dynamic right now has me intrigued and thinking that Gillion and Aurora might have to tag team being mediator this next arc. Especially because they’re about to be in direct conflict with the navy and Chip hasn’t told about any of Jays family names being on the death list, despite her knowing that he’s not being open about it. I get why but her finding out is going to be worse Chip, come on.
Chip killing Odelath got me fucked up. Like- I wanted the motherfucker dead as much as everyone else!! If Gillion killed him or even with Chip in other circumstances I would've cheered but- WTF BIZLY???

Jay looking from afar in shock, dawning on her how Chip is forever changed and meanwhile he himself can't figure out why he's so scared, and before, when he made the deal, he was confident he would "figure it out".
I honestly thought he would do some cool things to kill him, try a cool one-liner maybe and then later be haunted by his actions. AAAAAA THIS WILL RUIN THE NEXT 3 WEEKS FOR ME.

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.
This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.
Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.
To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.
If you are a minor and/or do not feel comfortable doing this, PLEASE repost this on here, or any other platform you are on/can find! This needs to be heard and fought against.
I’ve been thinking about my gender and the easiest way I could put it, and the best I have is I’m not a guy but I want to be pretty in a “guy” way. I want people to have a crush on me and for girls to talk about me like I’m the prince of a fantasy novel. I wanna hold a guys hand and it be like a bl manga and look like a k pop idol. I wanna cuddle with people and feel them touch my flat chest, or wear something tight fitting and a nice v shape, a soothing deep voice. I wanna wear ruffles or dresses and feel less awkward, or wear makeup. I wanna be Howl from howl’s moving castle or Will Turner from pirates of the Caribbean. I just wanna be a prince lol
Man I wish the FDA actually cracked down on people doing this- PLEASE stay safe you guys, it’s disgusting that this is even happening but make sure to do background checks on these things
General Riptide spoilers ahead about Jay (under the cut)
Going from Jays navy spy reveal in ep 53, where everything with the boys was torn between being a means to an end and genuinely caring. Claiming that all of it for her sister and it meant nothing, while bawling her eyes out. Trying so hard to keep her distance but simultaneously being horrible at it. To then going to ep 117/118 where she is panicking about their safety and is not only willing to defy her family but also actively separate herself from them. All because of not just her family’s actions but because “I’m a pirate, why should I have to follow those rules? I have chosen my family, I choose them!”
Ok quickly throwing my hat into the chip vs jay ‘champion of death conflict’ arc predictions ring
First off, going off public episode knowledge (up to 128) we know a lot of jay’s ongoing character arc has been about her own sense of morals and justice, -what she is and isn’t willing to tolerate from the people she loves- which has at this point lead to her pretty much disowning herself and giving up the Ferin name (which is actively fucking up her sense of self, with how much she still loves her family and her sense of family pride)
We Also know that she has very much clocked on to Chip’s lying about the names Calypso gave him, and he knows she knows (they both know that Jay is very observant, she’s also probably figured out at least a few of her direct family members are on the list, but this isn’t about that).
Meanwhile a part of Chip’s arc has been about learning not to lie to his friends, which he has gotten a lot better at. He also has a history of keeping secrets when he feels like mentioning them wouldn’t help a situation only to bring it up later (which he has done many times in the undersea arc)
Anyway case in point I don’t think Chip is actually planning to keep the secret about the names for that long, and I think Jay knows that, which (among many other reasons, given the… whole situation right now) is the reason she hasn’t cornered him somewhere and strong armed him into talking about it, which she absolutely would if she thought she needed to. (Plus he wouldn’t just go for killing her family without telling her)
Short conclusion: while a conflict between them on a moral standpoint absolutely will be a thing, i don’t think it’ll be a big team splitting break up level problem
Long conclusion? Hoo boy

So at the end of ep 129 Chibo kills Odelath, (rest in piss old man) and cries about it because he doesn’t actually like killing people, despite his champion of death title
Jay has a little moment after, looking at Chip, wondering if this the first of many, if this is his first step on a road she can’t pull him back from. Which fucking sucks for her, given her lifetime of watching the people she loves being sucked into the navy, either never coming back or never coming back the same.
Anyway my Real hypothesis of this post is that most of the ‘jay, chip, and conflicting morals’ arc isn’t going to be about a fight between them at all (although it Will Happen, in some way or another) but instead it’ll be about jay’s fight with her morals, her family, and how much of herself she’s willing to betray to stay with the people she loves.
All this to say, Jay arc soon, another jolo ep included (where she faces both herself And whatever’s going on with the Ferin bloodline powers)
