im gonna die :(( gillion specifically pointing out the parts of the knight that make them a real person, not just a weapon :(((
charlie: I'm gonna walk up to behind the easel, and take a look through it at how shes doing on her painting, now that Chip has stopped.
painter: What is it now, First Knight? I'm very busy, and just trying to get this small detail- y'know actually, now that you're here-
gill: Yes! Do you need assistance?
painter: You typically have an eye for the grandeur, no? This knight... there's something about him, it's not stoicism, but it's gentleness, and I'm not able to capture it in his expression, but I want this moment, the way that he stands watching over all of us, against the castle, the way that he- I just want those that perceive my painting to be able to smell that flowers he walks though to get to his post, the bread that he ate in the morning, and the love that he has for this kingdom. I see it all, but I cant capture it, and I... I don't know, what is it missing? I just cant...
gill: Well, you got the armor, the sheen, the blade, but... what about his face? What about his hand, the other one, not the sword one, where that one rests? You can see by his feet there this... almost looks like a basket, maybe something his wife or... someone important, prepared for him for the post. That's what makes him a guard I think! The things that make him want to show up.
painter: You think he's spoken for? [...] Honestly, I never even considered that that might be why... No of course, I mean, if there's someone you love in the kingdom, you'd do everything in your power to give your best every day. Perhaps it's not just the kingdom that he's so passionate about protecting but.... Maybe you're right, dear, and I'm missing a bit of detail in the face, and I do tend to try and hide the hands, and make it a little bit easier for myself, and maybe I'm running away from those... from drawing the hard things, the things that really express emotion.
painter: Oh no, I'm fine, it's just... I certainly hope he isn't spoken for.
gill: I could definitely be wrong, and there's a... Well, for someone like you, sometimes this is the best way to get to know someone, right?
painter: We'll see what he thinks of the painting when I finish.
gill: (surprised) It's for him?
gill: Ohhhhhh, come on oh come on.... How close are you?
painter: I'm almost done.
dm: She raises her brush, and begins to paint some more, and as she does, the- You see, her form, begins to fwhoosh, sort of uh, swirl and it collects into a little ball, she disappears from your view, Gillion-
gill: I think I just made that woman settle
dm: -and it moves over to one of the circles on top of the door, and it fills it up, and it becomes solid gold.
