That’s a New Yorker alright
not to give green day credit but it is immensely funny how often Big Corporation For Guys Men Guys Guy Corporation will be like hi green day play my event. and green day is like ok Big Corporation For Guys Men Guys Guy Corporation but you know we suck dick and penis and want to kill politicians and we are going to play our song we suck dick and penis and want to kill politicians .and Big Corporation For Guys Men Guys Guy Corporation is like ok green day thats cool. and then green day plays their song we suck dick and penis and want to kill politicians. and Big Corporation For Guys Men Guys Guy Corporation is like wtf green day you cant do that you cant play your song we suck dick and penis and want to kill politicians. and this has been happening in a cycle for 30 years.
reminds me of the time Rage Against the Machine were vying for Christmas Number 1 (british public was doing a little trolling) so the BBC had to let them come on and play 'Killing In the Name Of' live on the breakfast show, and they asked them not to swear and they swore
me when I tell the guy who sings "fuck you, I won't do what you tell me" not to do that
please reblog this i spent way too long on what was supposed to be a quick edit
my #1 disconnect from the pitt fandom on here is Why is everyone calling these doctors by their first names. mel generally goes by mel on the show and calling her dr king might lead to a 🔥🔥 civil rights movement misunderstanding 🔥🔥 so that I kinda understand, but who pray tell is dennis. who's trinity I've never heard of her. I don't think I've ever even met a heather. what's a "frank."
someday langdon will have a neurodivergent patient who prefers the lights on and he won't know what to do with himself
i recently watched the antm documentary and as a long time watcher of the show I was still able to find new things to be disgusted with about Tyra Banks and Ken Mok. That being said I feel like the documentary was still too scared to cover some topics and I wish we had gotten more insight. particularly (for me) when it comes to Isis King and Heather Kuzmich. Isis was a trans contestant who was originally used as an extra in the homeless photo shoot they did in cycle 10 and was then recruited to the show in cycle 11. My memory of how the girls and the production team treated her is abysmal. I am thankful for presence on the show but she was disrespected and purposefully outcast from the other girls and I wish that was addressed. similarly, Heather is a model with autism and on the show they also disrespected and outcasted her from the other girls. I was in a rage at both of their treatment and I really wish they were held accountable for that. I think production were just too scared to talk about “political” topics and that’s garbage
still a critique but more positive,
I really wish they had gotten into the modern cycles more. It would be very cool for the show to celebrate its still working models like Winnie Harlow and Nyle DiMarco. Winnie was a model from cycle 21 with vitiligo who is still very active in the industry. Nyle won cycle 22 and was the first deaf participant of the show. I would’ve have loved to hear more about these success stories and also how the show evolved over time. A major element of the later show is social media and fan involvement, that certainly had an effect on the models participating and the judges on the show and they just never mention it.
overall i think this documentary should have been 2-3 times the length and it didn’t allow all the entire 24 cycles their day in sun, for better or (more likely) worse.

So America's Next Top Model was obviously wild for a lot of reasons but my favorite wild thing that happened a few times was Tyra and Co. being like "We brought on this unconventional, nerdy girl because she is actually ethereal" and this girl would end up being like "Hello everyone I am autistic" and most of the girls would be as cool about it as you would expect from the early 2000s but there'd be a handful that would just make it their mission to be so unbelievably nasty about it and in testimonials they'd be like "Now, now, I don't dislike her and think she's a freak because she's autistic, I think she's a freak because she is bad at socializing with us, only likes to talk about her weird nerdy shit, and gets really emotional if things change or go differently than expected." My sister in Christ, that would be the Autism.

One of the rare times where a comment section is delightful the moment I open it
it's hard being a polyamorous action hero because whenever i have flashbacks to all my dead wives it takes like 20 minutes to get through all of it
it kind of sounds like youre just feeding local women to the deadwife montage
