I'm so sorry for two negative posts in a row, but I genuinely can't keep this shit to myself. So, there's a reason I tend to avoid the shifting confession blogs, and this is the reason.
Hateful people like this. Gods forbid someone is passionate about liking their s/o, y'know, the person/people they're literally shifting realities to be with. Also, saying 'I bet he don't want your weird ass' tells me this person is either being willfully ignorant, or they're highly disconnected from the community.
Your s/o does love you. Your s/o loves you as much as you love them. Putting people down for being excited about their s/o is the most pathetic form of bullying I think I've come across on this website. Saying that someone is too weird for their partner to love is so fucking ridiculous. Imagine going up to a couple that are together in this reality and telling them that one of them is too weird for the other to like.
We're also just assuming that someone's s/o is always a he? Are we forgetting lesbian shifters exist? Or, y'know, any shifter that isn't a straight woman. Even then, some people shift to realities where they're not straight, or they're a different gender (which is sick as hell /pos). It's a very hateful and presumptuous statement.
For the second 'point' this person brings up, I can understand being uncomfortable with people talking about their sex lives. I'm a sex averse asexual. I get uncomfortable hearing people talk about it. Y'know what I do? I don't call them desperate or creepy or tell them their partner doesn't love them.
I also feel the need to point out that there's nothing inherently wrong with being a little desperate. Like, a lot of people's s/o's are the kindest, most understanding and loving people ever. It's obvious some people are gonna be desperate for that — especially when you consider the shitty partners a lot of people end up with in this reality.
This is the internet. Hell, this is Tumblr. You don't need to keep your thoughts to yourself on the website built on sharing your thoughts. If you get uncomfortable with someone sharing something sexual, scroll away or block them. Filter your feed for your own enjoyment, don't put the responsibility of your discomfort on others when all they're doing is having harmless fun.
People are allowed to want their s/o's as deeply as they do. If anything, I think the passion is beautiful! I love seeing people love someone wholeheartedly and without fear of judgement. People love their s/o's, and that's beautiful. Cringe culture is dead, and it's the people who loved unapologetically with their whole soul that killed it.
Shiftblr is a community built on love; love for each other, ourselves, our friends and family, and our s/o's.
Hopefully this will be my last angry post for awhile.
