Seren Zhao is an apprentice archivist and navigator, to a certain extent. Quiet and unassuming, she spends most of her time in her room or sorting through the Astral Expresses collection of records from bygone systems and galaxies alike.
She hails from Hemera ix, a flying ship who's inhabitants has sworn fealty to Idrila, the aeon of beauty and was rescued by the express a week after it's untimely destruction by the antimatter legion.

To even maintain the most banal of courtsies from the citizens of H̶̨̪̣̪̜̗͍͒̄̀̉̅̕ē̶͔̠m̸̢̞̙͍̱̬̹͓̄̒̈͌͐͛ȩ̴̧͎̬̬̰̙̼̻̾̐r̵͍̰̮͔̖̼̣͐͋̅ͅa̷̦̤̲̲̠̥͔̗͇̋ ̴̭̍̑̐̀̽͐̒i̷̡̭̳̘̦͓̙̭͇̒́̋̀̽̓̎x̴͈͉͍̞̞̳͍̠̹̦͂̂̄͌͘, one has to surrender themselves to the pursuit of beauty, beauty being the shallow endeavor to aquire a prettiness that does not transcend beneath the boundaries of flesh and bone.
Seren herself has of course never faced this problem. How could she when she was once the poster girl of the constant adverts for fuller lips, starkissed eyes and lustrous hair that wasn't even her own to begin with. How could she when the resentful faces of the "fallen" gaze upon her, a reminder of the hope that was cruelly stripped away from them by the hands of the echelons of Grimhilde.
Beauty was both a blessing and a curse. For every admiring gaze, melancholy borne from the hatred and jealousy of hundreds would always follow. And even if she was to reach the epitome of beauty, the faces in the portraits shall always morph, encasing her in this neverending cycle of pining after a perfection that would never remain. The system depended on it after all. The beautiful are venerated and the hideous are cast aside.
This is what Idrila wants, the mother supreme claims as she casts a pious gaze upwards towards the sun. THEY know what's best. For the aeon's creed is their saving grace and defying that would be sanctimonious at best, damning at worst.
Seren disagreed. Beauty cannot shield one's soul from destruction or moreso, the hordes of monsters brought forth by it, breaking mosaics blessed with rosewater. The ship crumbles fragment by fragment until the only thing remaining is a yacht filled with escapee's, Seren being one of them.
Some died, Some were intercepted by the Luofu and joined it ranks from there. Only she remained, clinging onto what was left of a home she has never learnt to love.
When Seren was found by the astral express, Himeko saw not a pinnacle of bygone magnificence but a girl who reeked of vulnerability she tried so hard to conceal.

"Good Morning Seren!"
It was a new day. That much was made obvious as March 7th's cheerful voice echoes across the corridor, rousing her from her slumber.
"Mornin' " Seren replies groggily as she heads to the Expresses official archive storage location. As usual, she'll spend the day sorting through collections of ancient texts. It was somewhat relaxing though so she doesn't complain. If anything, she gets to stay on the express instead of embarking on dangerous missions.
A tentative hum left March's lips and then she left, leaving Seren to be.
As much as Seren adored her pink haired companion, she couldn't help but enjoy the silence that March's absence has brought. The express has been too lively for her liking as of late so the quiet served as a temporary respite.
Lots of things has changed since she boarded the astral express. For example, Seren was finally free from the burdens of performing beauty, or rather the ideals of beauty that she herself did not even ascribe to. Moreover, she was also encouraged to pursue her passions by Himeko and Welt something that never occurred back home.
To an extent, life was decent, if not better compared to her life on Hemera ix. Being an archivist, or at least an archivist's apprentice taught her things that existed beyond the doctrines imposed by the mother.

i had a really cool dream last night . . . it’s kinda Scott pilgrim vs the world esque except im ramona .
due to unforeseen circumstances, i was transported to an unknown world along with my childhood best friend . we were then given tasks by the so-called “game masters” to save my exes from different timelines who were also transported in this unknown world . like for example i have to save my ex from 8th grade from getting smashed by a huge rolling ball while trying to escape a maze . and the next person i have to save is the ex i will soon have once i reach 25 years old . of course i don’t know what’s the whole goal is , but i see myself having fun and reconnecting with past relationships while also receiving closure from relationships that ended abruptly . the last person i have to save, is surprisingly my childhood best friend , after spending time together saving everyone else .
but how ? well basically , it seems that i will be marrying my childhood best friend in the near future but due to my fears of my incompetence of receiving and giving love , i chickened out and left him behind in the altar all alone . the games and tasks the game masters gave us was in order for me to see how loved i was despite the once i am saving are my literal exes . they still loved me for who i am and believe i am capable of loving others as well . anyways , after saving my childhood friend , we were immediately transported back to earth with newfound knowledge and confidence ( and maybe also talking about how funny it is to discover that we will get married in a few years )

HI HI HIIII and yes !! i was once a gottwice fan but i only ever dabbled into listening both groups songs during 2018 . the time and age where in everyone in my class were suddenly listening to kpop and started stanning bts and blackpink while yours truly wants to be different by listening to got7 and twice when they are basically just the same in terms of popularity gulps . and during that time, mark and sana swept me off my feet . i fell so deeply in love with their interactions after watching a bunch of compilations on youtube they are basically my parents sobs

૮ . . ྀིაCALL A FRIEND ! is a variety show hosted by newjeans' mayumi estrella , where every episode begins with a simple mission of calling someone from her contact list. whoever answers is immediately dragged into whatever bizarre challenge the production team has prepared for the day, whether it's baking questionable cookies or trying not to embarrass themselves in public. with each phone call comes a different adventure and enough chaos to make everyone question why they answered in the first place, all while giving viewers a glimpse into mayumi’s surprising contact list hidden inside her phone. after all, with mayumi's ever growing list of friends, you never know who's going to pick up and show up in the show next.

challenge : shop for baking ingredients and make cookies but with a twist. each person secretly adds one mystery ingredient, and everyone has to guess what it was after tasting the finished cookies.
୭ৎ episode summary: mayumi has somehow gone twenty years without ever baking a single thing, but she confidently believes her taste buds can identify any food while blindfolded. to put that confidence to the test, she calls two equally chaotic friends who share her complete lack of culinary expertise. what follows is flour covering every inch of the kitchen, mysteriously disappearing bags of chocolate chips that colette insists she definitely didn't eat, and cookies burnt beyond recognition. by the end, nobody can even tell what the original recipe was supposed to be, making the mystery ingredients almost impossible to guess.
