This is most of who I talked to, there were two examples out of about 11 people that refused to engage or told me I was too young.
The age varied, in some I said 14, some 15, some 16. I agree, some places have that as the age of consent, but you need to be in that country for that to apply, and I was in the US.

Disabled people can’t always harm themselves. As a disabled person, the thought that everyone around me can have a gun and I can’t makes me feel 100% less safe. Gun rights are opressive.
The idea is that guns are the great equalizers. A person who cannot use both of their legs has no match against a home invader or an attacker with a loaded weapon or even a knife or baseball bat. If that person has a gun, then they can defend themselves. I’m sorry that you cannot obtain firearms for self defense. May I ask what about your disability prevents this?
Even though I am over 18, I am not considered a legal adult when it comes to most things. Because of my disability I still have a legal guardian and there is many things I can't do like buying a gun/being called for jury duty/things you need to be considered mentally competent to do. Don't feel sorry for me. I would have no desire to own a gun even if I could.
