Personally think that this is the most underrated parallel between the two films and I’m really surprised I haven’t seen anyone talk about it yet?

Ahh thank you so much for this question, I love it!! Music is a huge part of my life and I draw a LOT of inspiration from it.

I listen to different types of music depending on my mood and what I’m writing! I love listening to instrumental music and soundtracks, especially when writing fast paced scenes and action. I tend to choose my soundtracks based on the movies that inspire me (I have a lot of Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, James Horner, and Clint Mansell in my playlist, and I’m sure I’m missing a bunch of composers but these ones are my absolute faves and I enjoy pretty much all of their work).

My non-instrumental music choices are fairly diverse and depend largely on my mood. I also go through phases of listening to certain artists/songs and then ignoring them for months before falling in love with them all over again. Some of my fave artists are: U2, The Cult, Rush, Rival Sons, The Tea Party, Welshly Arms, and Polyphia. Recently, I’ve been enjoying the Loki soundtrack, Raign, the Hurts, and Osi and the Jupiter.

I really really loved this question and it actually made me think about possibly sharing some Spotify playlists to go with some of my works in case readers might want to listen to the music that sort of inspired the scenes and maybe help immerse them in the world.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you're enjoying it! It took several months to come up with all the aspects of the story. It came to me in fragments and the fragments just kept building on each other! I do a lot of driving and, while I drive, I love listening to music and just plotting in my head.

And yes! I would love to share a sneak peek of Chapter 25 :D

girl, i hope this isn't too forward or annoying but i'm coming from AO3 like a stalker to ask about your fic "deserters." i've just read it and left a review (i had a mini psychological meltdown in my comment sorry, i adored it so much) and i wanted to come say hi here and see if you had any plans to post more chapters! because i think if you don't i will need time to recover and mourn. seriously a life-altering piece of fiction. i'll be reading literally everything you post from now on.
