It feels so weird to have just read the last chapter of heartstopper.

I read the first volume when I was 12, one year before high school, now I’m 19 next month and graduated last year. It’s a bittersweet feeling, I haven’t been a real fan for a while mainly due to someone in my life who was literally threatening me about my opinions on heartstopper (I never once said anything hateful or bad I’m pretty sure I just mention that I preferred Alice Osemans novels), but despite that I will ALWAYS click the notification right away, I’m almost always in the first 100 people to like the post, and if I can I’ll stop what I’m doing to sit and read.

Heartstopper has grown with me and genuinely shaped me into the person I am today. It got me through the lowest points in my life where I genuinely believed I had nothing else. I will always be grateful for Alice Oseman and no matter how old I get, my shelf dedicated to the Osemanverse will always remain 🩷🍂🍁

Today I was just minding my business, walk through the shopping centre when I got absolutely JUMPSCARED by someone who I don’t think could be any older than likkke early teens wearing a John Egbert homestuck shirt and carrying around a John Egbert plush 😰 upon closer inspection, this kid also had black hair and glasses and I cannot tell if this was just a coincidence or if they were cosplaying but whatever it was it gave me flashbacks!!

Sophie Nelisse deserves awards for the way Shauna's face has been warped by her hatred and anger, like I look back at baby deer Shauna from season one and I'm like, how are you doing that. It's not the maturing of her face either cause Sophie is still absolutely gorgeous, but when she becomes Shauna it's like there's a sadistic anger and frustration in every cell on her body.
