time to hit the government with a motherfucking
not everything
nocturnal creature suddenly confronted with unexpected daylight
it’s extreme
I only needed one thing needlessly complicated 99. infinite percent I can’t use inconceivably vast
hunter/gatherer as I am it’s all too much seeing and touching confronted with
not everything in the world
heaped and stylishly presented
but almost
too much
blinking owlishly caught out
people are here talking looking calm they laugh they look away
I dissolve but bind myself into these clothes these shoes this body
they call it shopping
I’m shopped done before I ever started
can’t find my way home
all this
This is a turtle that has just come out of hibernation. They dig in wet ground and spend most of the winter there. This will come off the first time it dives into water.

Pterocarpus Angolensis is a tree native to South Africa. It’s also commonly known as the bloodwood tree due to the fact that when it’s chopped or damaged, a deep red sap which looks eerily similar to blood, seeps from the tree. In fact, the purpose of the sap is to coagulate and seal the wound to promote healing, much like blood.
“The flow experience that results from the use of skills leads to growth; passive entertainment leads nowhere. Collectively we are wasting each year the equivalent of millions of years of human consciousness. The energy that could be used to focus on complex goals, to provide for enjoyable growth, is squandered on patterns of stimulation that only mimic reality. Mass leisure, mass culture, and even high culture when only attended to passively and for extrinsic reasons—such as the wish to flaunt one’s status—are parasites of the mind. They absorb psychic energy without providing substantive strength in return. They leave us more exhausted, more disheartened than we were before.”

Celebrating Father’s Day with Benny Harlem, His 6-Year-Old and Their Hair
To see more pictures of Benny, Jaxyn and their awesome hair, follow @bennyharlem.
“She’s like my little bodyguard,” Benny Harlem (@bennyharlem), an artist and musician from Los Angeles, says of his 6-year-old daughter Jaxyn. “I laugh every single morning when she reminds me that I’m her best friend — but she has four other ones too.” The duo bonds taking pictures — and washing their show-stopping hair together daily. Benny started growing his as a teenager, inspired by his beautician mother. “It’s just a part of our family, taking care of our bodies, taking care of our minds, taking care of our hair,” he says. And as much as Jaxyn looks out for her dad, Benny doesn’t take his role lightly. “Fatherhood is a miracle and an honor. To be loved and greeted with gratitude from your child for this gift is fulfilling.”
