Meet Mini-Nedward. Standing 1.5 apples tall, he's fully poseable and comes with his own emergency-lemon and a leather coat with patches of all his favourite bands.

I'm rubbish at sewing, so his clothes are a bit tattered. But I made him as a gift and his now owner is a master of wool and yarn, so perhaps he'll receive a tiny knitted vest or jumper in the future.

thinking about my boy today (malivery)

i want to talk about how i named him (malivery sprague-lemonsbury) because i thought about it so hard

1. the seed of his character was approximately the first half of the cherry bio so i needed his name to be not the same but in the same vein as acg's

2. "lemon" came first; i wanted a fruit allusion and lemon felt on theme because of. you know. Scurvy

3. sprague came from a wikipedia rabbit hole i was in (an nhl player from the 1920s) and this is actually the more normal half of that guys name i could have pulled cleghorn

3. sprague was initially the first name so then he was sprague lemon but it needed something more so i tinkered with looking at britishisms to slap onto the end of "lemon". sprague lemonfield was another option i wrote down but sprague lemonsbury was the favorite

4. still nothing to connect to acg's first name which adds so much to the name to me. so i started looking at old and ridiculous first names to find anything that matched, and sprague-lemonsbury became hyphenated

5. was big on the -ington so my options i wrote down for this were kensington and lexington. he was really almost lexington sprague-lemonsbury i really liked the L alliteration. i also had cincinnatus on my shortlist which would have also been fun but i dont love the -s into s- and also would have been perhaps a bit too much

6. then i was on a completely different wikipedia rabbit hole and found out about the babington plot and more specifically that there was a spy named maliverey catilyn and i was like oh thats the one

so hes malivery sprague-lemonsbury! i dropped the extra e because i forgot about it
