So, my daughter KAIREE has a project in 2nd grade asking all kids about their names and if there's any special meaning behind it. Well excited as Kai is about this, she already knows the answer but loves to hear me tell her. So I will share it with y'all. Kairee's name comes from a #Disney & #SquareEnix game called #KingdomHearts. The original spelling is K-A-I-R-I but my wife wanted it to end in REE which I had no complaints. The character in the game is very caring and Kind hearted much like Kai's personality. It is a perfect fit for her as so many who know her will tell you how sweet she is. Now the actual meaning of Kairi is #OceanSky in Japanese. Our daughter has no japanese blood but I'm a big fan of their culture and felt it would suit her. for which it has. Now, with Kai being 8, she has taken an even bigger appreciation for her name and asked me if I could draw one of her favorite pictures of Kairi for her. So, here it is, ready for her when she wakes up for school. I wish I new the exact artist's name behind the origianl piece (if anyone knows, please tell me) so I can give the proper respect where it is due.
