Salmon sketches with watercolor pencils... ^-^
It's salmon season right now in Alaska! They turn red after they start spawning and swimming upstream. Sockeye salmon are my favorite to paint and draw because they turn green, too.

Art therapy... Creative outlet... Painting feelings...
chipping away at a little crystal island in my etchr watercolour sketchbook
the colour palette (separated out onto the left side of the metal palette) is earth tones, cobalts, and then perylene green, mayan yellow, lunar violet, and kyanite genuine for some flair
First page in ye olde Etchr sketchbook is dedicated to Mr. Ouroboros, from the Loki TV series. I’ve finally found a blorbo that doesn’t immediately die within two episodes. What an achievement.
Some minor bleedthrough from the back page 😬
Materials used: Etchr Hot Press paper, ohuhu alcohol markers, Prismacolour pencils, and a dash of acrylic markers to hide some mistakes on the bottom layer.
Day 5-6 of Flying Clubhouse Art Challenge, "A Little Mystery"
Micron pens & my own handmade watercolors and carbon black acrylic ink.
Suprise! What is the secret to Inktober? (I’m sure you artists are wanting to know this in March May… Seems very relevant, no?) It’s sketching out your prompts ahead of time! [Imagine sounds of “Ohhh” and “Ahhh” here.] I sketched mine on my #ipad with #procreate and then I used my #etchrmirror to transfer it to the hotpress watercolor paper I did the final piece on with black ink, brushes, white gouache, black ink pens, white gelly roll pens, and white posca pens. Also, sometimes I don’t finish my sketches. Instead, I just write notes to myself. [Insert “bird fanning pie” here] 🤷♀️ 😂 POST 2 OF 2... BECUZ Tumblr and literally nothing else seems to play nice together, at least for me, and this is like my five billionth attempt to get this posted (I didn’t realize that the original post in March didn’t post correctly), so I decided to go all in now (May) and find all the WIP pics I could, turning it, in the process, into 2 posts. First one should have been posted yesterday.
Jaskier, an Elezen bard, supports his friend and ally with song and a barrage of arrows.
Bards? Feathered hats? My mind always goes to FFXIV, especially since bard was my main until the current expansion. So with this in mind, I wanted to paint a FFXIV Jaskier in one of the bard artifact sets.
With race, I ended up settling on elezen for him. I thought it was fitting for his character and job. Although I will say I’m partial to Elezens since I play a Duskwight Elezen.
Also, I just want to say that with a race for Geralt, I just keep thinking about a Hrothgar with fluffy white fur.
