identifying music-related merch joe wears because we've got nothing better to do. inspired by @patricksbandmerch which is inspired by @petewentzcloset. basically we love stealing other people's ideas!

wherever possible, we provide links to the photo source/where to buy the merch, so if you have any info we didn't include (or corrections when we arent perfect), feel free to let us know! also feel free to drop any pics you'd like us to help identify in our askbox <3

this is more than a week late but CHEERS TO ONE YEAR OF JOESBANDMERCH <3 i'm really proud of this blog and i've had so much fun so far <3

Atticus Clothing - "Heartrays" hoodie

atticus is a clothing brand founded by mark hoppus and tom delonge of blink-182 (listen to blink-182 on spotify and apple music), and you can read a little more about fall out boy's history with atticus here

the archived version of the heartrays design on the atticus website won't load the images, but in my attempts to verify this being the same design, i found a few interesting things (so this is going to be a bit longer of a post!)

firstly, though joe wore this hoodie in 2004, atticus brought back this design in 2007 and sold it on the loserkids website in black with gold printing. ahead of the release of infinity on high, loserkids also offered 9 different preorder bundles for the release of infinity on high, one of which included the heartrays hoodie:

(the actual photos on the linked listings do not load thus the screenshots. also btw what a crazy deal that JUST the hoodie was $50, but if you preordered the ioh bundle you got the hoodie AND a cd for only $25???? take me back to 2007 please)

secondly, pete also owned the hoodie in black with white printing, which can be seen in the music video for grand theft autumn:

(i think he also may have owned a t shirt with this design in the same colors as joe's hoodie too, which i cannot find rn)

lastly, i can't find any info to show otherwise (but this is just someone on twitter saying this so take with a grain of salt), but apparently this design was also only sold in women's sizes lol

sorry for this long post, i just found it all a bit interesting! anyways, the photos of joe are screenshots from this video, and i couldn't find any listings with the brown/yellow that joe wears, but you can buy the one like pete's here

Sub Pop

sub pop is an independent record label, best known for signing huge grunge artists like nirvana and soundgarden, both of which have featured on this blog. joe's also worn several other artists on this label, including godflesh, hot snakes, and pretty girls make graves, with many additional recognizable names in their roster (full artist list here)

this is a shirt sold for fundraising purposes by the villanova university band. villanova university is a private catholic university in pennsylvania
