“You inheret too much power. You have proven that you can rule yourself. Now you must learn to rule others. Something none of your ancestors learned.”
DUNE (2020) dir. Denis Villeneuve
99% survival is not a pandemic lmao. Its all media propaganda. Look up how harmful masks are when u wear the same one over n over. Or look up what happens to humans after months of no human contact. It's actually worse for u. Educate yourself
Oh boy, you've made my day.
First of all, a pandemic is not determined by the survival rate. A pandemic is defined "as an epidemic occurring worldwide, or over a very wide area, crossing international boundaries and usually affecting a large number of people". Covid-19 is all over the world, therefore it is classified as a pandemic.
Second of all there is no accurate way to define the morality rate because you would have to know the exact number of cases. What we do know is the current estimate of the mortality rate is 1.4%. Which is about 1 death for every 100 infected. Given that roughly 5 million people have the virus that's about 70,000 deaths. Now if we take your calculations, Mr. Medical expert, there should only be 50,000 deaths. The actual number of deaths is 318,000. Now you might be asking how are we over the estimated amount? Because many people have no symptoms which means they don't get tested. There could be as many as 70 million cases.
It should also be noted that just because someone survives does not mean they are okay. People end up with holes in their lungs, missing limbs, on a ventilator for life, or an anoxic brain injury they will never recover from. Now would you like to gamble to see which one will happen to you?
Now that we have that part cleaned up let's move on to the next part. Did someone tell you to wear the same mask over and over without washing it or disposing of it? Are you a healthcare provider forced to wear the same N95 until it's no longer usable? I'm willing to bet you are not. If it's a fabric mask it should be washed every few days or more if it's getting dirty. Don't try to tell me the dangers of wearing a mask. I'm well aware, I have to wear one 12-16 hours a day at work. By the end of the day I have a headache, I'm exhausted and my ears are killing me. But the average person only needs to wear one when leaving their home.
Now I don't know where you live, but there is this thing called the internet. Which has allowed humans to interact with each other for some time now. California has been in lock down since March and yet those people are finding ways to socialize with others. Also you can still see people 6 feet away or invite your friends over (if you have any) and talk through a window. I highly doubt anyone has isolated themselves in a dark basement for months.
Before you come to my blog and spout absolute bullshit, why don't you educate yourself sweety💋.
Is it AH-TRAY-DEEZ or AH-TRAY-UH-DEEZ? In the second of the series, let’s explore how to pronounce Houses and Homeworlds in DUNE.

Just a quick post to let everyone know I'm okay and safe from the fires happening in Australia atm 💖
A couple of people have been checking in on me (thank you, lovelies 💕) and I'm just letting everyone know that I'm lucky enough to not live in a fire affected area. The vast majority of Australia is however up in flames and half a billion of wildlife has perished :( its possible that whole species have been endangered or gone extinct but hard to tell what damage has been caused on a large scale considering the fires are STILL GOING. Our PM's doing jack shit, families are having to hide in the ocean, lakes, on beaches etc. To remain safe while surrounded by blazing fires watching their houses and belongings turn to ash... It's terrifying and heart-wrenching :(

Basin with a boat from the tomb of Tutankhamun
It is considered one of the most beautiful pieces of the collection of king Tutankhamun. It was found in the annex of his tomb.
The purpose of this artifact is not clear, but it was either an unguent container or a perfume holder or most probably it was a centerpiece used during celebrations and ceremonies for decoration purposes because when Howard Carter found it, it was covered with garlands of flowers. It is thought that this basin might have been filled with water to complete the image of the decorative centerpiece.
At the prow a naked girl with a curly wig, wearing earrings, armlets and bracelets, is represented seated and holding in her hand a blue lotus. At the stern, there is a dwarf standing naked and he is wearing a wig similar to the one worn by the girl. He is also wearing armlets and bracelets. When this piece was first discovered, he was holding a pole in his hand and most probably he was the helmsman who directed the boat.
Tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62). Valley of the Kings, West Thebes. Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.

I love these…..
Chaotic Good
My favorite part is that these are going to be someone’s neighborhood landmarks. “Turn left at the saxaphone player,” “yeah I work in the shop right next to the Princess Leia fire hydrant,” “if you pass the shady guy selling watches, you’ve gone too far.” The urban and suburban worlds are so funny of random infrastructure points that you’re just supposed to ignore, like those big metal wiring cabinets on the side of the road and all those backflow preventers all over the place. With just a little paint, now they have friendly, comprehensible meaning.
