JohnlockFicsFix Recommendations Masterlist on AO3
Sherlock Holmes was an exceptional pitcher who was a constant also-ran for all of the very best of baseballâs honors...He was brilliant, but he wasnât quite all the way there yet, John thought. There was something he was missing.
The Bang and The Clatter by earlgreytea68
Sherlock Holmes is a pitcher and John Watson is a catcher. No, no, no, it's a baseball AU.

When Iâm trying to figure out if I like someone, like really like them, I always try to imagine how theyâd react if we ever got stuck in a lift.
Youâre On the Air by Prettysailorsoldier
The Consulting Detective and The Woman dominate the airwaves of their university radio station, doling out advice on everything from meeting the parents to sexual positions. When their ratings start to dip before the holidays, however, manager Mike thinks it's time for some fresh blood, and who better to fill in the gaps than rugby captain--and notorious flirt--John Watson?
You think I canât love you? Just because youâre made with metal, and detailed programming?
Software Malfunction by Tiger_in_the_Flightdeck
Assigned as the head of Medical Research on the Baker, John Watson meets- and quickly falls in love with- Sherlock, a specially commissioned Companion android with a malfunction.
How many bones in the human foot, doctor?

Mycroft gives Sherlock the apparently simple task of solving a puzzle box containing a stolen microchip. It isn't simple.
Canât ride the train at this hour and expect not to be in close contact with your fellow man, after all.
Evening Ride by LapisLazuli
John has a series of unexpected meetings with a stranger on the Tube.
This fic is hot af despite the fact that this would actually be really problematic in real life. I loved the sense of mounting danger as the tension climbs through the story. The ending was unexpectedly cute as well, so thatâs a bonus.
Iâm the unluckiest girl in the world. You wonât buy me a pony and my parents arenât even together.
Ten Years by lurikko
A friend tells Rosie Watson that her parents aren't together for real, because they don't kiss. But we do, John says.
This is the only type of post-season four headcanon I will accept. Sherlock and John living happily together raising Rosie. This fic is awesome because it combines all my favorite tropes that force two reluctant men (who are secretly in love with each other) together, including: âWe have to get married because reasonsâ, âAccidentally falling in love while we pretend to be in loveâ, and âWe shouldâve been doing this all alongâ.
Doctor Watson's Night of Fun
Small Screen Valentino by DancingGrimm
âOh God,â John breathed, horrified.
It took a lot to horrify John H. Watson. Worried now, Sherlock got up and stepped around the table, only to be foiled when John quickly turned the laptop so he couldn't see the screen.
âJohn, what is it? What did she do?â
âShe put a video online...oh God...â
âWhat? What sort of video?â
âOur video, Sherlock! One that she and I made!â
The angst and tension in this one is unbelievable. For being such a crack-y concept, it was so well grounded in perfect characterization and realistic storytelling. I canât even count the number of times Iâve read this one. Itâs angsty but funny, sexy but sweet. Itâs great.

So that was that, Britain would have to look elsewhere for their Wimbledon hopeful.
A Study in Winning by JupiterAsh
John and Sherlock are professional tennis players and itâs Wimbledon. One is a broken almost was at the end of his career, the other an arrogant rising star tipped for greatness. It should have been a straightforward tournament. It really should have been. How were they to know that a chance encounter would change everything?
Wimbledon is one of my favorite romcoms, and this fic is even better. The final installment in the series recently started which reignited my interest in an old favorite. Itâs such a full-bodied story, with its well rounded subplots, and intense climax. I was biting my nails through the last half of the story and nearly shouted when the tournament ended.
