random outsiders headcanons pt.1 🌾

• ponyboy never finished gone with the wind after johnny died. when he finally learned how to accept his death, he went to his grave on the anniversary of his death and read the remaining parts of the book to him.

• dallas is lactose intolerant.

• johnny got his denim jacket as a gift from dally. he used to wear it back when he was younger in new york. he gave it to him because johnny reminded him alot of himself back then.

• sandy’s baby was actually a soc’s. he was furious she got pregnant, so she decided then to go florida for a quiet adoption. (i like to believe she wanted to keep the baby, but the father would never allow it because of his reputation or something. and besides, unwed mothers were a big nono back then.)

• two-bit is actually really good at drawing! he has a cartoon art style and wants to be an animator (at disney to be specific.)

• steve learned how to fix cars from mr.curtis.

• tim is on first name basis with the police because curly constantly keeps getting into trouble.

• angela once flat-ironed curly’s hair and he looked emo for a good 2 days. (he secretly liked it.)

• darry has been mistaken for nearly everyone’s dad. came in to speak about ponyboy’s grades? teacher thought he was his father. had to go to get dally out the cooler? must be his dad too. (he deserves a break smh.)

• soda, despite hating reading, would always take the time to read pony’s stories and poems. (even the ones where he was going through an emo™️ phase.)
