I found another pic on pinterest that really caught my interest, not so much the subject herself since I'm used to doing people but more so the background and the prop she's sitting on. I exagerated the hair and earings just to make the subject pop out more. There's a second version with lens flares for fun. Hoping the viewers like it and feel free to critic. Decided to do a mermay piece at the last minute. 3 1/2 hours in I managed to scrape this up. Tried to stay as simple as I could with the time constraint where usually I'd spend about 5 or more hours. Maybe one day I'll get faster with simple renderings.

Making your own concepts are crazy challenging and while I'm almost done with it there's always something I want to add or take away from it, very frustrating at times when I can't flow through it as fast as I would like but also fun to flesh out every idea no matter how long it seems to take. Fighting.....I never thought I'd enjoy watching it so much. I don't look at it for the bloodshed or knockouts but the strategy that leads up to such a result. The movements, evasiveness, stance switching, reactions to the opponents changes and reactions. There's something about the mind games that turn me on like nothing else can besides creating music (plucking guitar string for ex.) I once spared with a classmate in middle school that till this day convinced me that I should've tried some kind of sport back then but that's what #Tekken7 is for lol. I know it was a long wait and it was worth it. This was an album cover for someone that I lost contact with right after the initial sketch so I decided to go ahead and finish it.
