The very first word out of the other detective’s mouth and Lily was already ready to storm into Chief Sanchez’s office and demand that they not be forced to work together. She could not stand the idea of working with someone else, especially not someone whose instinct was to immediately question her work. Yes, Detective Rush was more experienced and had been in the field longer. But that hardly meant that Lily was a novice with no understanding of how to manage a case. Which was precisely what she was making it sound like. “We,” she emphasized as she pulled the file back. “Don’t need anything. I have a strategy and work plan already.” And Jordan could find a way to make herself useful within the confines of the plan that Lily already made. Jordan leans back on the chair, there's an amused looks on her face as She watches the other woman, She for sure got some... Spark, that was good, but still, why? She was doing a good job, why were they sticking her with a partner ? It sounded like they were doubting her and She did not like that. "In case you didn't get the memo, We, are a team now," Jordan places her hand on top of the file, "I like this as much as you, trust me, but you're here now and I'm here too."

"You hate it, I don't blame you, so do I," she shrugs, honestly she doesn't really want to be too harsh on the other but it's stronger than her, "So. As a team. What's the line of invetigation you're following? because that one is pisspoor."

Mahi's brows rose as she walked down the street with Jordan, laughter bubbling free. "Imagine being that obtuse?" Why would men do that?—Tell you all about your new girl? It made no sense to her at all. Then again, people did strange things to get even. "Maybe he did that to make you jealous. I always thought people were weird. This is a prime example." When Jordan apologized, she waved off her apology. "Please, you never have to apologize. I get it. We all need someone who would listen to our problems sometimes." She nodded, "Food sounds good. Rizzo's okay with you?" A sigh escaped, her shoulders rising and falling in a shrug. "Pretty okay. I'm seeing a therapist and getting Soundwave ready to open. You're going to come for the opening, right?"

"Right?" She shakes her head, honestly did he even knew what She went trought when he left? What She risked for him? God how She wishes She could just....punch him in the nose. "You think? I don't see whats the point... He wanted to out. Not me!" Not that She blamed him to be honest, She made her workplace her home, he was alone half the time. "We do need that," Jordan nods, with a smile, glad her friend understood. "Sure," she nods again. "Thats good to hear, if you need anything just let me know," She pauses for a second, She can't be sure to promise to be there, her job alwyas took most her time, "I'm gonna do my best to be there! You have my word!"

Amos thanked the waitress as she placed two plates of food on the table between them, offering her a small smile and then looking back his friend on the seat across from him. He and Jordan somehow had built out an unlikely friendship upon meeting a few years ago. "So, how much of a clusterfuck has that announcement at the Springtide Bash has cause at the station? I'd imagine it's keeping y'all busy with all the anonymous calls and whatnot now, huh?" He asked with a roll of his eyes. Sometimes it felt like the mayor's death had happened so long ago that it got treated like a piece of lore for the habitants of Wilmington, rather than an actual homicide case.

Jordan gives the waiter a thank you nod as she palces the food in front of them, She always did enjoy these lunches with Amos, it was friendship people found odd, but they had more in commun than what meets the eye. "Yeah," She sighs, "It was a mess. I wish people took this seriously," She shakes her head, "I'm not really at liberty to discuss the investigation but... I'm not sure this is leading somewhere. Its... Messy... what do you think? about this whole thing?"

Nikhil had been speaking to a rather special woman at the bar, he'd bought her a drink and she'd actually been interested in finding out more about the sport he worshipped. He'd been close to getting to know her a little better and was about to tell her about his situation when he got tapped on the shoulder. If this was some fan who wanted a picture or an autograph, he was not going to be pleased.

But no, it was Jordan. And clearly she was in a fighting mood. He was tempted to laugh though the way she told the other woman to leave. "Anita, please--don't listen to her. I'll give you a call and I promise I can explain," but before the other woman could agree--Jordan called him a married man and Anita was not in the mood to stick around.

"God--I wish I never met you," he murmured before giving her another charming smile before attempting to greet her with a hug. "You know she probably thinks we're married now, right? Also how many times do I have to explain that--it's not exactly...like that." It was so complicated to try and explain his situation to anyone, mainly because he wanted to be truthful but it was so hard for him to know who to trust explicitly because if too many people found out, his green card would be in jeopardy.

Jordan crossses her arms over her chest, as she watches him asking to woman to stay, the detective doesn't say anything but She gives the woman a warning looks, She wouldn't want to be messing with a marrired man, it wasn't right, and sure this was not of her a business but, when you don't have much of a personal life... Gotta live trough your friends.

"You're welcome," She grins sarcasticly, as she accpets the greeting hug, "yes, you keep saying this, but you never tell me what it means," honestly as far as she was concern he was married. "Are you separated ? Getting a divorce?" 'cause those were the only situations that made it better.

Bars weren't really Jordan's thing, not after she gotten clean, but her co-workers wanted to hang out so she agreed, got herself a coke, laugh and relaxed the usually. As she was leaving though, Jordan noticed something, Nikhi all--cozy with someone, the nerve on that man! Jordan walked over there, tapping on his shoulder, "Excuse me! just what do you think you're doing?!" she turned to the other person, "Hi. This is not your fault, but beat it. He's taken."

"So, guess what?" Jordan asks her friends as she walks besides her, "My ex called me. He had no clue I moved, I've been here over an year!" the blonde huffs, clearly annoyed with all this, it took her way too long to get over the man and now he's just calling? out of the blue, "He tells me he's got someone, okay? what the heck am I to do with that?"

"Sorry--I didn't mean to dump all this on you," she shakes her head, "Lets just get some food. How are you doing, by the way?" @mahirayc

Tw: Child endangerment, attack, violence, alcoholism, divorce, robbery Jordan was raised by a single mother her dad walked out on them when Jordan was around six and, she mantains no realtionship with the man. Jordan's mother wasn't the best though, as she'd spend most of her time working, and when she was home she was either drinking or not staying long and going on dates with a lot of different man, so it was fair to say, Jordan pretty much raised herself.  One day, when Jordan was around eleven, she got followed from schcool by some older kids, the kids wanted to rob her, but Jordan wasn't letting them take her stuff so they ended up beating her, she was later found by a police officer, who got her the help she needed and made sure from that day on to mantain contact to make sure her and her mother were doing alright, this man was the closer she ever gotten to a father figure and also her inspiration to get into the force.  She never really gotten a good relationship with her mom, as she still blamed her for her crappy childhood. Later on, Jordan got married, but it didn't last longer, she had a hard time opening up, talking about her feelings, and she would also put her job frist, this ended up with her husband feeling hurt and falling out of love with her. This was bad for her... Like many things the addiction run in the family and Jordan found herself getting comfort from the bottle, so much so, everyone around her was starting to notice there was a problem... One day her work partner sat down with her and gave her two choices, either she got clean or he'd go to the higher ups and she'd lose her job... Jordan choose to get clean and she's been ever since.  She moved to Wilmington about an year and a half ago, hoping this is the fresh start she needs, and to take some heat off her some trouble at the station she worked at.
