She perked up at least when he mentioned her crown, and she shook her head. “No, the crown I ordered – I sewed most of the dress, though!” she said brightly, wondering if he’d even noticed the rest of it or if his gaze had stopped at the crown.

She seemed even more upset at his answer, and he bristled in response, “That’s because I was planning to go home!” he exclaimed with exasperation, running a hand through his hair. “I’m not trying to get away from you, I swear.” He sighed and took a deep breath before pulling a chair out, plopping into it unceremoniously. “There, are you happy?” His words held no heat, and at the very most were explained with perplexity, “You made the dress yourself?” That piqued Joule’s interest and he took a second to take in her handiwork, always appreciative of craftwork of any kind. “It looks pretty good, how long did it take?”

The pace is so much nicer unless there's a group right behind you trying to hurry you up and then it gets stressful and you miss the whole every time!

Sydney: I planned, though! I planned TOO MUCH and now I did things too early and now Emmett is cancelled and I have this dumb embarrassing thing called 'The Butt Putt' that makes farting noises everytime you get the ball in the butt-hole and he was supposed to use it in the frat house and laugh BUT NOW I JUST HAVE IT FOR NO ONE!

Sydney: Except Bentley. Or you! But I barely know you. Oh my God, why am I offering a toy shaped like a BUTT to someone I'm trying to get to be my new friend? I'm so weird, I'm so sorry!

Joule: No, I don't hear myself because I don't really read my messages out loud. It feels like a weird thing to do, do you do that? I don't even know how to play real golf, let alone mini-golf. You sound like you play often, is it fun? Wow, I'd consider that bad sportsmanship. They should learn patience, it's a virtue.

Joule: Emmett is 'cancelled'? What does that mean? And I hope you mean like a golf-hole and not a literal butt-hole.

Sydney: Hey, do you like putting? If you don't, can you PRETEND that you do? Because I kind of already got my friend's boyfriend a Christmas present and it's non-refundable but I don't know if he's going to be her boyfriend by Christmas anymore and I need to give it to somebody so that she doesn't get suspicious about the fact that it was for HIM originally, and ugh! The holidays are stressing me out already! Am I weird for being holiday stressed? Am I doing them wrong?

Sydney: OH WAIT, I can give it to Bentley, DUH! Oh no, are the holidays making me STUPID? That was such a rookie mistake, what is happening to me??

Joule: Putting? As in sport-wise? I don't really do sports aside from the occasional car race if I'm feeling daring. Being stressed about the holidays is a peculiar concept to me; especially since they're meant to be celebrated. There's no need to stress if you make yourself a plan of attack and stick to it-- not totally foolproof, but it could help.

Joule: Nothing's happening to you, you're just stressed. It's okay to take a few breaths and breathe, you know.
