I’m lonely and I miss you. But obviously not who you are now but who I thought you were back when you promised me dates to see the stars and science musuems, back when you were listing things you wanted to take me on and going out for my 21st, back when you planted kisses on my forehead and cheek and wrapped me in your arms and back when you kissed me softly and then back when you said you liked my messy hair in the morning and how I should leave a comb at your place for next time

I would’ve put up with everything else if only to have those things but then you decided literally a day after my birthday and two days after you did all those things and after we literally fucked five times and after all of that I wasn’t worth anything more than two lines of text on an app that erases your messages.

God what a fucking joke. I guess I’m hurt because it makes me feel worthless that what we had was worthless that everything you said and did was worthless and you were just fucking around until you got bored and maybe that’s fine I would’ve understood but to say and act the way you did.

It was the “that’s not realistic.” If I’d been arguing with someone who was anti gun control and I said “someone could take a gun and go into a school and kill thirty kindergartners in just a couple of minutes, how would you feel then,” they would have said I was exaggerating, that’s manipulative and unrealistic. 

but that’s what happened. 

and the thing is

if thirty dead, white, upper middle-class kindergartners in Connecticut aren’t going to motivate change on gun control

then they’re never going to change for queer people in Florida, and they’re not going to change for music fans in sin city, and they’re not going to change for college students in Washington and Oregon, and they’re not going to change and they’re not going to change. 

A white man can buy 19 automatic weapons and no one is going to raise an eyebrow. And then afterwards they’ll send thoughts and prayers.
