I love it when Christians are honest about their struggles – It is so important that we encourage each other in faith and not judge each other. We are all growing and none of us has everything together, but we can be there for each other and share our revelations and experiences so that the truth sets us free and that we draw nearer to God and become more like him. I think that is what church actually should be.

Constant physical tasks, coupled with emotional stress, can make us tired and weary. We need constant refreshing. During Jesus’ life here on earth, Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. (Luke 5:16) He needed this fellowship with His Father to face the day. Jesus invites us to pause and rest. Our good Shepherd wants to replenish, refresh and restore our weary souls. When we do that, like David, we will say, “Yes,Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. My hope comes from Him. He is my rock and my salvation, my fortress, I will not be shaken.”  Psalm 62:1

H O M E.

I always thought it would be in the arms of the man I will marry someday.

But the moment I open my bible, the moment I hear one of these worship songs that touch my heart in a soft, beautiful way, the moment I feel God’s mighty presence and hear his soft wisper in my heart — I suddenly realize again that home was never meant to be found on this earth. It was always to be found in him. Jesus, I am home when I am with you. I long to be home, I long to be in your arms. You are everything to me.

Home is in his presence.
