Exploration Day - with Michelle Pang  Walked into a street festival - rode the Mid-Level Escalators - found lemurs at the Zoo and Botanical Gardens - browsed the Opera Gallery - posed at the fringe club.

Down to the fisherman's village for lunch - relaxing at the fishing pier and abandoned temple - Strawberry dessert for the finale : D

High Junk Peak Country Trail  Mark said: "Hey Jyots, do you want to go on a really nice hike sometime with some friends? There are some spectacular views.." I was excited to go on a hike since it's a popular past time activity here. Walking around nature with some friends sounded like a chill day. Little did I know that the hike was 3 hours of intense, inclined climbing through jungle and up steep stairs. 

Views of Clearwater Bay, Tseung Kwan O developments, and Hong Kong Island. 6.4 km | Start @ Ng Fai Tin | End @ Tai Miu Au. 

It was definitely worth it, one of the best things I've done in Hong Kong. Thanks, Mark. :)

Happy Friday! with sun, wine, and new friends - Lamma Island

I was so nervous to come Hong Kong on my own and not know anyone from HK. I'm just a small town girl: always walked or drove a car to get somewhere and hardly ever used public transportation, never lived in a big city, never traveled outside North America on my own, and only know English. But I wasn't afraid to try something new. 

Luckily, I was introduced to some family relatives living in Hong Kong who have since been so kind to me. They welcomed me to Hong Kong, answered all of my questions and calmed my anxiety. I am so glad to have met Nishant and his family. Thank you for being there for me as I try something new. xoxo
