“No offense taken. Though it would certainly make me feel better if I knew exactly what your plan was. Pretty sure most people in my condition aren’t exactly fond of surprises.” A pause. “The blindness, I mean.” Then again, she supposed most seers weren’t too used to a surprise either. “And we have a real room here? With an actual bed? I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, I just…this isn’t exactly how I saw my life playing out, so to speak.”
“Would you really know the difference?” His nose scrunched, not that it benefited the situation, but his tone was enough to indicate his brashness. “Besides, you are the seer. Shouldn’t you be able to see what lies ahead? It might help us on the road ahead if you focused on that. I would like to know when my next mug of mead is.” Magni knew he shouldn’t be so irritated, and yet the current situation prevented him from holding back. There was a slight grunt in response to her question, glancing to her for only a moment — needing to remain vigilant. “We are lucky to be resting... though there might be a bed in our next shelter.” He paused, “You’re not the only one who didn’t see a life like this.”
