There needs to be a word for Wehraboos but for Japan. Because, obvs the first instinct is just, weaboos, the original term, but that doesn’t really work for the military aspect, does it?

An excellent point, although I don’t see nearly as many of them as Wehraboos. Consider, “Ijaboo” perhaps? Using the acronym IJA, obviously. We can workshop it.

I’ll be real, I haven’t seen as many of them as Wehraboos, at least non-ironic ones. All of them I have personally seen have had a touch of self-awareness about it.

To be a flying boat the damn thing needed to fly, and 70 feet on a wingspan of 319 feet is well under ground effect, essentially a cushion of air pushing the wings up, rather than them generating the necessary lift for flight.
