A favorite tactic of American media used to gloss over police killing innocent people is to describe their crime in the passive voice.  It’s not “a reckless and negligent sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a 6 year old boy,” it’s “a bullet made its way into a mobile home and killed Kameron Prescott.”  Takes the blame off the cop and puts it on the inanimate bullet.  Much cleaner and helps maintain the illusion that police are blameless and upstanding defenders of peace.

Calling for war with North Korea isn’t just a failure of learning from history, it also demonstrates a basic lack of understanding of human psychology.  

When the Kim dynasty spends literally generations marketing the US as a great evil and promises to protect its citizens from the US, and then the US fulfills that role and threatens war upon the North Koreans, who the fuck do you think the North Koreans are going to side with in that war?  

The dumbest thing is, of all people, the Trump supporters would be the best ones to understand this, because they have the absolute dumbest blind faith in their leader to magically solve all their problems and keep them safe, which is probably exactly what the North Korean propaganda machine spits out about the Kim family.  

But the small, greedy, petty mind of the statist lacks in empathy and any other redeeming virtue.
