My dream performance by Alekseev & Mélovin (?)

Scenario: M1 Music Awards 2018. Both are invited to the event but no one knows they will sing together…

The performance: Irina Bilyk presents them, she does it because I love her and this is my dream (?). With her legendary voice, she presents “a performance about fire and roses”, surrounded by mystery…

The big stage darkens, and a light illuminates the top of a black piano on which rests a rose. The first piano notes of “Forever” sound, but SURPRISE, MF!

Is Mélovin!

Dressed in a completely black vampire suit, he sings with a tremendously sweet voice (like the beginning of “Wonder”, ahhhh) the first verses of Alekseev’s song.

It must be something that we call love, wherever I go I’m coming back… And time cannot knock me of my track, this resolution is final…

While he sings, the camera slowly moves away from him and shows us that Mélovin is at the top of a, well, ladder (?). Behind of the base, when he sings “this resolution is final”, we see a figure emerge from the darkness.

With his highest and most emotional voice, Alekseev walks towards the center of the stage dressed in a white angel suit (contrasts, honeyyyyyy), with red lights painting him in passionate tones. He sings what follows:

It must be something that we call love, it’s when you’re craving to say him her name… and my reality seems to break apart with his her arrival…

When he sings the last sentence, he reaches the center. He stops at “with his her arrival” and looks to the left:

Mélovin arrives with his microphone in hand and stops next to him. They give the back to the other (?) and they sing together the first chorus with passion and feeling:

No need to worry, rain falling down. It’s our happiest story and there’s no one around. We will go for it and I know you’ll be mine, forever…

And both, looking at the camera, continue raising their voices. Together, they sound strangely perfect:

Windows wide open, flying so high… Both of us roaming through magnificent sky! Rain keeps on falling, and…!

The music stops and Alekseev laughs; it’s all part of the performance. Mélovin passes behind him and he stands to his right. A capella with the rhythm of “And I know you’ll be mine forever”, Mélovin sings another words looking into Alekseev’s eyes:

The lights comes down, the people scream, the fans on Twitter die. The front camera reach them in a fast zoom: they are in darkness with a reddish light in the background. At the precise moment when the DAAAAHHH DARARAAAAA (?) of the music of “Under the ladder” is heard, lights goes on and both look to each other, front to front.

Mélovin sings:

You can see that whatever the weather! That the wind’s always there, always fair, oh oh oh!

The camera abruptly focuses on Alekseev. He sings looking at Mélovin with his А я пливу voice (?):

And it has always been now or never! The decision has got to be made, oh oh oh!

The camera rotates around them in a circle while, looking always to each other, they sing the famous “Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh, yeah! Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh, yeah!” together. People gets MAD.

While the music of “Under the ladder” continues as we know it but extended in its instrumental part to help the show (?), we see how Mélovin climbs the ladder while Alekseev (who is as extra as Mélovin) hangs from a harness (!!!) to climb. Mélovin sits at the piano; Alekseev lands on top of it and a camera focuses them from the top.

Mélovin plays and sings the bridge while the camera shows how he looks at Alekseev:

You can see that whatever the weather… That the wind’s always there, always fair, oh oh oh…

The camera slowly turns towards Alekseev, he takes the rose and, kneeling on the piano, sings hugging it against his chest and staring at Mélovin.

And it has always been now or never… The decision has got to be madeeeeeeeeeeee!

In the “eeeeeeeeeeee” that begins Alekseev and continues Mélovin (with the “iiiieeeeeeeeee” part), the ladder gets on fire at the precise moment when the top camera takes control, moves up and shows the entire stage. Support singers continue singing the chorus while Alekseev and Mélovin share some “eeeeeeeeeeee” and “iiiieeeeeeeeee”, until the end of the chorus, the one that they sing together:

The decision has got to be made, oh oh oh!

Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh, (Mélovin) yeahhh! (Alekseev)

Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh (Alekseev) yeahhhhhhh! (Mélovin)

In the last “yeaaaaah” the front camera only takes Mélovin’s face. When the top camera refocused them, Alekseev has opened the piano (?!) to discover a coffin with red lights inside (!!!). He extends a hand to Mélovin, both enter very quickly and close their eyes. We see the rose lying in the space that separates them, which is the last thing the camera captures.

In the last three seconds, the piano closes automatically when the camera makes a general panning of the piano with the fire underneath.

The end.

And that’s how I imagine them singing together (?).
