At first, 7-year-old Havana Chapman-Edwards was devastated that she was the only student in her class at Fort Hunt Elementary School to walk out.

“It really sank my heart to pieces,” Havana. said.

lowkey/highkey i sometimes wonder if people forget or simply choose to ignore that t’challa changed wakanda’s policies a WEEK after his father died.

it didn’t take him months or years, he opened wakanda’s doors within a week of taking on the mantle of king, because he was exposed to how truly wrong and cruel the closed door policy was when people needed assistance and aide wakanda was more than able to provide. he learned from the mistakes those before him made and the situations they created in standing idly by while others suffered.

he couldn’t do the same things as prince, but... black panther takes place a week after CW, in the span of a few days (tops) and the movie ends (once you include the mid-credits scene) his announcing the change in policy.

people out here acting like he spent years as king, hurting other people, when the reality is he CHANGED things when becoming king.
