Ponyboy felt really off when his parents went to pick up icing for Darry's cake. He bawled his eyes out holding on to his mom's arm, begging her not to go. While they were gone he just kept saying, "its coming." But when Darry and Soda would ask what was coming he would just say he didn't know but whatever it was, was coming. Then when their parents still weren't home Darry and Soda really started to worry. When the knock was heard on the door, pony froze, stopped crying, and whispered "it's here." Darry opened the door to the police officer asking him to come down to the hospital to identify their parents bodies. Pony didn't feel that feeling again until after Bob died. But this time he knew what it was. Cue: Deaths at my Door from the broadway outsiders
