“oh, i... i don’t know.” she’s gotten herself into a lot of trouble over the years, but the sneaking out, hero stuff had never been her scene. she’d been tinkering on a suit of her own, but never had the same drive about it as logan.

Their new apartment was a big work in progress. As if everything that happened wasn’t bad enough because both he and May vanished they lost a lot of personal belongings. Luckily the people who took over the Parker’s previous apartment were sentimental people and put a couple of their belongings up in the attic, which they gifted to May before she left. Peter was left to go thru the box of belongings. Then there was a knock on the door. “Hey, Morgan” He smiled and moved to the side of the doorway to let her in. “What’s up?”

morgan moved around peter and into the apartment. setting the box down on the first table she came to.

“i, uh, was just bringing this over. there was some of your stuff up in the cabin and dad left some stuff for you.”

she picked up the picture sitting at the top of the box—tony and peter as a part of the stark internship cover story—and passed it over to him. deeper in the box there are plans for the spiderman suit drawn out by her dad and a few things peter had left up at the compound.

semi-hiatus!

so, i left today for a college tour trip to new england/new york and i won’t be home for 10 days. i did bring my laptop, but i’m gonna be super busy. 

i will probably be on every so often, but i can’t promise i’m gonna get to drafts. i’ll have internet all week though, so i’ll still be available through messages

the last time morgan had seen or heard from her father she had been five years old and he wasn’t even really there. but here he was—or a version of him at the very least.

morgan once had a teacher tell her class that if they ever found themselves doing something they had to keep a secret from their mothers, they should probably rethink what they were doing, but morgan had thought this through.

thanos hadn’t been the last threat the earth had seen. there had been countless new supervillains and even a couple alien invasions in the years since tony had died. it didn’t feel right to morgan, sitting at home and just watching others risk their lives protecting everyone.

so here she was, snooping through old files looking for any indication of how her dad had built the iron man armor.

then the alarms started to go off. she knew there would be something keeping an eye on all of this; morgan just didn’t expect it to be her dad.

morgan doesn’t drink. tony may have been sober by the time she was born, but there are far too many articles and videos and stories from before that time for morgan not to know that her father struggled with alcoholism.

she knows that there is a genetic component to addiction and she’s not willing to risk going down that path.
